Windshield wiper schematic

It can be faulty wiper motor or blown wiper control fuse.

Do you hear any kind of noise when you starter the wiper function. If yes then fuse is ok, but issue is wiper motor.

If no movement at all and no noise then its blown fuse or shorted/loose wiper control wiring: -----

Wipers will not move, makes noise and there is power to the motor. Motor was replaced. Someone told me that the arms probably moved to far and are now stuck, how do I fix this?

Windshield Wiper Blade & Arm Removal & Installation Front To Remove:
  1. Mark the location of the wiper on the windshield.
  2. Remove or disconnect the following:
    • Nut cover
    • Nut from the wiper arm
    • Wiper arm
Wiper arm mounting nut gm_truck_s10_w-wpr-arm_ret-nt.gif
To Install:
  1. Install or connect the following:
    • Secure the wiper arm with the nut.
      1. Tighten to: 17 ft-lb (23 Nm)
    • Nut cover
Rear To Remove:
  1. Put the wiper arm in the park position.
  2. Remove or disconnect the following:
    • The washer hose from the connector
    • The cap from the wiper arm
    • The nut from the wiper arm
    • The wiper arm from the wiper motor shaft
Rear wiper arm mounting nut gm_truck_s10_w-wpr-arm_ret-nt_rr.gif
To Install:
  1. Install or connect the following:
    • The wiper arm on the wiper motor shaft in the park position with the wiper arm resting on the park ramp
    • The nut on the wiper arm
      1. Tighten the nut. Torque to: 17 ft lbs (23 nm)
    • The cap on the wiper arm
    • The washer hose on the connector

---
The wiper motor hopefully is ok, but if the wiper arms were not mounted at the right spot, it could have damaged the motor as it returned to the rest position, unfortunately.

If there is noise, the noise could be coming from the wiper arm joint being stripped out or the motor itself assuming that the ball joints under the hood and behind the firewall are still connected.

Check these items, and I'm sure you will get to the bottom of this.

Good luck on this repair.

My wipers don't work at all the other day the wipers went up and now won't go down. My wiper switch works because there is a clicking noise under the dash in a little black box that is for my interminite...

sounds like the wiper regulator fell off the motor or the wiper motor is bad. if you can hear the motor outise the truck then the regulator fell off the motor. if there's no noise, then the motor may have died or it may have become disconnected.

Pontiac g6 2006 wipers stopped movement while driving. what could this be from? I already checked fuses. i hear the motor running making noise.

either linkage broke/ jammed or motor is stuck -makin noise but not movin open hood and with wiper on feel motor- its on firewall-for movement if moving turn off motor now try to move wipers if move freely than they are broken off or have disconnected from the motor need to remove the cowl to access the wipers linkages

2001 avalon winshield wiper motor location and wiper regular location . Wipers dont work all the time after last freeze here

check the fuses under the dash and under the hood

failing that go to auto zone they can show you the location and quote the parts price too
remem ber to turn on wipers and turn on ignition dont start the car look under hood listen for winding noise locate noise locate wiper motor

if making wiring noise remove and re conect wiper arms inside as they are prone to poping off if over loaded like when frozen to wind screen they pop the conector rather than burn the motor out ]

Ckracking noise from rear suspension

Maybe a little lubrification of the suspension is need, I had the same problem but in the rear. Get yourself a can of white lithium grease in spray and shoot all the place where the suspension move. something like 6-8 places. You'll find the can near de Jig a loo and WD40 BUT take the Lithium formula. Silicon grease will only work until it rain...Job is really esay, Take de spare jack for more space to move around suspension parts. Make sure to do not over spay brake disc !!!! :P
