Question about 1996 Nissan Sunny
Replace the ECM as has a ROM ( random operational memory ) problem. Resetting the CPU program may help ( use a scanner tool) but I would not hold my breath for this .

There is a connector under the steering column, you need to buy an OBD 2 system scanner to plug into that connector and access the codes. The system is always in diagnostic mode, OBD 2 stands for On Board Diagnostics second generation.
