My 1993 Chevy S10 Blazer 4wd 4dr. 4.3 liter vortec SUV took a dump last month and I've been trouble shooting it since, my smog and reg. are due in 5 days so I'm in need of help. Does anyone know how I can fix it? Replaced in the last 3 weeks: New Serpentine Belt New Alternator New rotor cap New Distributor Cap New spark plugs New Fuel Pressure Regulator with hoses (removed intake manifold and there was a puddle of gasoline) New manifold gasket New fuel relay plug New Air intake hose Repaired exhaust leak from the engine to cat. Sea Foamed Oil change with new filter Recharged K&N filter New Ignition Coil Symptoms: Burning enormous amount of gas, 3 mile drive down the street drains like 2 bucks of gas. Exhaust smells a little funny but a lot better since I replaced a hose going into the injector and fuel pressure regulator. Car engine revs up strong for 1st and 2nd gear but no power to the wheels but it drives fine once out of those gears and plenty of power but a lot of hesitation before. During the 1st gear struggle a big cloud of smoke emits from the exhaust. Needs gas pumped on the pedal during starting Engine shakes and hesitates during idle Check gages light turns on sporadically and flashes with vibration Solutions? Fuel Injector? O2 sensors? Catalytic Converter? Any help would be greatly appreciated.. =)
