Question about 1994 Toyota Pickup
I have 94 yota pickup 22re and have no brake lights so i jumped a wire from the brake light pedal switch to the tail lights and they didnt get brighter also if i go through 6" of water the truck dies and wont start for about ten minutes you can crank it over but it wont start
Check brake light connectors for green residue if so spray with WD40 to clean. Also change bulbs even though they look ok they could still be knackered.

Normally this is caused by a problem with the brake light switch. If you don't take care of this soon you will have a dead battery, so try this. Look under the dash at the brake pedal. There will be a switch mounted on the backside of the pedal/arm that has a push button switch inside. Have someone stand behind the car and check to see if the brake lights go off when you pull the brake pedal away from the switch toward the driver's seat. If they do, then you need to turn the outer housing of the switch a little bit to make it pull away from the brake pedal when the pedal is in its resting position.
Sorry, I can't remember which way to tell you to turn it but a few turns should be all that it takes. If that doesn't work then you may need to replace the switch but they rarely fail.

If it's not your fuel filter plugged , or fuel pump malfunction, then it is probably your Mass air flow sensor, or your coil pack etc. You'll have to see if you have spark or fuel first. One of them is missing.

Tail lights and brake lights are on the same wire.
Connect the wire from the brake light to the connector in the car to the tail lamp wire connector and you will be set to roll

Check to see if the cable is stretched out, have someone push on the pedel while you check to see if the butterfly actuater is turning all the way when the pedel is pushed to the floor,if not there should be an ajustment on the cable.
