SOURCE: front axel oil leak

High pressure wash the entire area and engine, including the strut or shock area. Depending on how long it takes to leak, look at the axle at night with a flashlight as you can see shinny liquid easy at night, but you will see it in the day also if the leaking is prominant.

You might have a leaky strut or shock that is running down on the axle and I am hoping the mechanic took you for a ride,

SOURCE: front oil seal leak

Unfortunatly, just from your question, I summize that you should not try it yourself. The engine on this vehicle would most likely have to be lifted out to change it.

SOURCE: leaky front seal on tronsfer case

depending on if its is from the drive shaft or the main shaft either way you will have to do a bit of work if it is the driveshaft seal I believe you can remove shaft and change seal with case in truck but dont qoute me on that if not remove transfer case and at that point it is pretty much the same amount of work for the main or the driveshaft side. get yourself either a rented or borrowed tranny jack and drain fluid before removal make sure you have all little tubes and wires off before you try and wrestle it out have a friend around for saftey good luck be careful and hope this helps

How to find and repair oil leaks in front of motor?

Ok ralph first off clean motor with engine brite found at any auto parts stores
next recommendation add oil base dye to motor oil allow to run for 30 min to circulate dye useing a uv lamp or black light and inspect front cover most cases the front seal is themost likely source of leaks due to contant revolutions on front main seal
in order to repar suspected seal total dissasembly of timing cover will have to be removed in some models the front main bearing journal will have to be removed as well.
upon removal of timing coverbinspect front mail seal race / face for burnishing of the crank seal face. Dirt an debri cut into the crank
you will have to order the front seal repair kit
consists of front seal and stainless steel wear ring wich is glued in with epoxcy
reassemble front timing cover gaskets an sealer may be needed once all the parts are reassembled run for 15 m7n an check for leaks
its also possible that the oil pan gasket could be leaking as well
install dye to find leak is the best course of action first

Leaking oil badly in front of engine??? need help!!

Its either depending on the size of the engine, the valve cover gaskets or the camshaft seals, or crankshaft (front) seal leaking . Can tell by getting engine dye , whitch you can purchase at any autoparts store and put in engine oil fill and run car for 30 minutes or so and put a black light on engine area where leaking , start at the highest point first.

I have oil leaking from either the timing chain or the front main

if the front seal leak you can just replace the seal, if the timing cover is leaking then you will have to remove the cover. while you are in there, I suggest that you go ahead to replace the timing chain ( timing set ), seal and a new cover. parts cost less than 100 dollars.

Oil leaking out the front of the lower fan belt

If the lower fan belt pulley you are referring to is the vibration damper or harmonic balancer, then that is the pulley that is attached to the engine crankshaft, and that pulley is what turns all the other pulleys on the engine. There is a seal on the shaft behind the pulley -the front main seal. This is what may be leaking oil, and if that is the case , the seal needs to be replaced.
If it is the front main seal, and you are going to tackle the repair, you need to get a Repair Manual for your vehicle and follow the directions for the fix.

Trans leaking fluid

it is hard to make a mistake when looking at a front seal leak so your diagnosis is probably correct. As for the repair it is pretty labor intensive as the transmission needs to be completely disconnected from the engine and at the very least slid back 8 inches or so (its easier to change the seal with trans completely removed) to acess the front seal to change it

Automatic fluid is leaking from the front of the small radiator

Your question is not complete but I assume u have a front seal leak on the transmission? this is the torque converter seal and it requires the removal of the trans to fix it/replace it, if the torque converter has a grove worn in the area where the seal rides you will also have to replace the torque converter. There are trans leak seal sweller chemicals out there, they will slow down or stop the leak for awhile, but in most cases this is a short term fix, also throughly clean the trans first (car wash works great) before any work and make double sure the leak is not from the trans pan gasket.
