If your having that much trouble, then ^ That would be advisable. however, if your dead set on doing it yourself, then the plastic casings usually come off of the crank, and the actual handle probably has a small screw securing it to the peg on the door. be careful not to yank on it and break something.

Take it to your local car stereo shop and PAY them to remove the panel. Shouldn't be more than $5-10

Remove citroen c3 rear door panel

Check out how the door panels are attached to the car. Most panels use screws and bolts but others have snap-in fittings. Gather all the tools you need for removing the door panels. If the panel is attached with screws and bolts, you need a screwdriver or ratchet and socket. Car door panels with snap-in fittings are easily removed with a flathead screwdriver.
Locate where the screws and bolts are before starting. These are usually found in the arm rest area, along the bottom or sometimes near the door lights.
Roll down the car door window. Begin removing all screws and bolts that hold the door panel onto the car. If your car has snap-in fittings, pry gently on the bottom corner of the door panel until the fittings pop out.
Remove the power window control panel if your car has power windows. The control panel should pry out easily, and then you unplug the wiring harness from the back and place it to the side.
Use an L pick and flashlight when locating a manual window crank. Look behind the window crank and slide the pick under the edge of the metal clip that holds the crank in place. Remove the clip and pull the crank off.
Remove the door handle by unscrewing the small screw located in the center. Gently pull the door handle out until you see the back of the handle and unclip the rod from the door handle. This should remove the handle unless the handle and door lock are attached, then you just unclip the rod from the lock and remove them both together.
Unscrew the cap off rear upper corner door panel locks. These don't have a rod attaching them to the handle and unscrew separately from the door handle.
Pop the door panel off after you've removed everything. Gently pry on the bottom edge of the door panel until it releases. Pull out and up to completely remove the door panel.

2004 impala back window stuck down

You checked fuses and relays for electrical cranked window?
Remove: internal door handle, remove window crank if manual crank, door panel, remove film/paper seal.
If is mechanical crank: check for worn out parts on gearing and racks (reinstall crank and wind window up and down). Replace worn parts.

If electrical window crank: check for power at solenoid. Try switch again and watch to see if solenoid engages and tries to crank.
Check to see if switch is broken. Try door switch and drivers door switch.
Pickup another solenoid and replace old one.

How do I remove the handle in door panel? I'm trying to remove the door because my window fell off the track, it doesn't have power windows so I have to manually roll them up and down.

1- remove the window crank
2- remove any screws from the door panel; sometimes they are hidden by a plastic cap. look inside the elbow rest cavity; remove any screws you see.
3- insert a flat plastic or wooden tool in the shape of (roughly) a scraper, between the door panel and door and start prying the clips which hold the panel to the sheet metal. get as close to the clips as possible with the tool, as that will be the easiest way. there are about 8 of these clips on an average door. when all the clips have come loose of the sheet metal, lift the panel straight up to remove it. you will find a metal rod attached to the inside of your handle; unfasten it and remove the panel completely. that handle looks like it is part of the panel and cannot be removed separately.

How to remove rear door panel on 02 malibu

Most door panels have a single screw in the handle of the door where you grab the door to shut it. This it attached to a metal bar inside the door. Take this screw out. (may be hidden under a plastic tab) On the perimeter of the door panel there will be plastic clips that look like xmas trees. Carefully tug on the panel from the bottom and work your way around the rest of the door and pop these loose. If the car has power windows you will have to unplug the wire from the switches. If the car has crank style windows you will have to remove the handle before the panel can be removed. You will find a clip that holds the crank on the nub that rolls up the window. You can fabricate a tool to remove this by using a credit card type of plastic card. (such has a prefered shopper card from you grocery store) You cut a U shaped slot in the center of the card that is about 1 in deep and 1/4 in across. My wifes 2005 Cobalt has manual windows since it is a base model. I had to remove her front panel to replace a speaker. When you pull thew panel off if any of the plastic clips get damaged don't worry, your local auto parts store will have more and they only cost a few dollars for a pack of 5 or 10. If this is the first time you have tried to take a panel off and are worried about damaging the car go to your local junk yard and practice on something in the yard. The process is the same for most every car. Below is a very crude drawing of the tool I made.

Removing door panel

Manual window crank handle is held on with spring type " C " clamp . A special door handle clip removal tool is required. Inexpensive and easy to use. To reinstall handle , PLACE CLIP BACK INTO HANDLE GROOVE AND PUSH BACK ON. Hope this helps

Removing door panel of manual crank 2000 VW Beetle

Your window crank is held on by a clip at the base of the crank handle. You need a small hook (kind of like a knitting needle) to get behind the base and pull the clip off of the crank.

I hope this helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair.

Remove window crank

Remove wire circlip at the backside of the handle. Can usually be pulled loose w/a pair of needlenosed pliers by pushing in slightly on door panel and pull the rounded end of clip w/the pliers (hemostat pliers work great if you have some).
