There are two possibilies but first check that fluid level is proper. Either you have something wrong with the valves inside the tranny but it sounds more like you have burned up at least one of the clutch packs inside the auto tranny. Check your fluid level first and foremost. After that you are going to have to remove the tranny and pull it apart to find the problem. Prefferably bring it to someone who knows how to rebuild trannys.

My 2005 auto trooper has no power when I accelerate revs go up but just stays at one pace gets slightly better as engine warms up . Any ideas ?

If the engine revs higher when depressing the gas pedal and no real increase in speed then it must be a problem with the drive to the gearbox, get the OBD read as should give a code to indicate the problem area , when was the auto fluid last checked/changed ?

Transmission will not engae any gear

re/check your oil level as it possibly lower then you thought ,as an auto gearbox needs the level to be full, dont rev the gearbox trying to get it to move this will damage the bands inside the gear box,

I have a 1996 Toyota Ipsum, the speedometer and rev counter sometimes run wild and it disenganges gears. What can I do to fix the problem of the speed sensor?

Sounds very much like a problem I have experienced on and off for a couple of years. If your rev and speedo gauges drop dead, your o/d light flashes and your auto gearbox doesn't like to change through the gears, then the odometer pcb has a failed chip. You can pull it apart and try to resolder the loose chip back on. But be warned this is very delicate job (more suited for repair shop) you could end up flooding other chips with solder (as i did). It can be changed out with one from the wreckers but will have to be re-set to your ks/milage. One solution at this stage, if re-soldering is your option, you can also swap your eeprom chip from your old odometer pcb to your new/used pcb from the wreckers. This eeprom carries all the historical ks/milage used. See some info on tachosoft.com (eeprom info) and info from toyota forums on speedo/rev gauges (pcb failure) In a nut shell, this pcb odometer problem kills the feed back signal back to the o/d and gearbox speed sensors etc and so the gearbox doesn't know when to change through the gears.

Automatic 330i 2001, if i start accelarating at 3rd gear the RPM keep increaing and if i release the gas the car should change to next gear but i does not...at low RPMs it is working fine

the gearbox is a "fuzzy logic"system.gearchange depends on accelerator pedal position/revs/load.if you drive without depressing the gas peddle more than a third down you should find all gearchanges much smoother.(if you drive with gas peddle almost hard down all the time yhe car will hold gears longer...poss 4500 revs or more......

Automatic gearbox won't select drive or 3rd gear

Well in a auto gear box you have in the pan on g/box a filter and a forward oil pump and a reverse pump also a set of bands forward and a reverse plus a valve body assy which has a load of small pistons and springs and oil ways ,but by the sound of your problem is that the forward pump isent going through the body valve for some reason so its taking a short cut and bypassing 1,2,3, and trying to to top first.
So sorry to tell you that the answer to your problem is you have to go to a Auto Matic gearbox shop and they will have to fix it ORget a second hand box and fit it yourself.
Let me know how you go. are you on Skype Ron

Mazda Sentia 929 auto failure

Rebuilt gearbox probably... unfortunately!
If the HOLD light in the in strument cluster is flashing at you, it is giving you a transmission diagnostic code (like a kind of Morse Code). A transmission specialist or a Mazda Dealer will be able to read this code and plug their computer into the cars computer, and tell you what is wrong.

Starting

I think you have the wrong clutch housing installed or the flywheel spacing from the block is wrong. When the switch was made to manual from auto there should have been something fabricated to shim the starter into the correct alignment with the new flywheel's ring gear the same as it used to align with the flexplate. Good luck with this one
