Hi, Sounds like coolant in the oil. Which indicates a bad head gasket and/or crack in a cylinder. This job is expensive to do. 800 + dallars.
Please see mechanic for further advice.

You could be losing coolant through the head gasket into your motor oil. Remove your oil cap. See if moisture and white gunk is on the oil cap. If there is, then the head gasket is defective.

Heated oxygen sensor heater control circuit low , also see below

the code is for coolant leak large. Check coolant level and top off.
check the oil for moisture.
pull the plugs to see if any are steam cleaned.
either one could indicate a bad head gasket or worse damaged head.
Check to see if any new hoses have been added. tighten clamps if needed.
look on engine block for any puddles where coolant could be leaking.
pressure test coolant system and check for leaks.
If you can smell coolant inside the vehicle check the heater core.
lastly have an emissions test run with the radiator cap off and at running temperature. Start vehicle with cap off to avoid spray of hot coolant. This tests head gasket and cyl head for leaks.

My heater is blowing cold air and the temp gauge is rising; do I need a new heater or is it something else? I regulary put in fuel injector cleaner every 3000 miles. When I searched for Heater Cores it...

it sounds like you are running out of coolant. refill and check for leaks. The coolant reservoir may have a leak. Your thermostat may need replacement.

I have white smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe. What could be causing this?It has happened right when I start the truck. It doesn't happen every time though. Can you help?

usually this occurs after the engine sets not running and some oil gets into the combustion chamber of the engine. You start it and it immediately burns off the oil. If this is what is happening you need to keep an eye on oil level. If you are low then it may confirm what i said. water will also burn white this usually keeps happening as the motor runs. how many miles are on the vehicle? higher mileage engines will do this due to wear. some types of oils or additives try to help with this problem. if this helps please reply
good luck

Engine oil moisture

Known issues or not,It sounds like the head gasket is blown,or it has a cracked head.If it was water it would be thick and light grey in color on the dip stick,But yellow indicates antifreeze leak that has not had time to mix with the oil.

Replacing oil water etc

The yellow cap wit coolant on it should be the fill cap, the take should also have low and full lines on it. Most places int the states you should do a 50/50 mixture of coolant to water.

Low coolant

"I assume the chocolate color is an indication of maybe not water leaking into the oil?"
I'll lay $5 on it's being coolant :-)

As for the "overflow cap" or expansion tank filler cap as I would call it, in the absence of a VW engineer telling you different, I would leave it loose while the Stop Leak was taking effect, just to avoid forcing the Stop Leak into the oil system as the coolant system pressurised. If the can says "...works in ten minutes" then you could tighten it after that time.

Be sure to check the coolant level soon afterwards to find out if it has worked.

If the Stop Leak doesn't... I'd recommend getting a mechanic to find the leak and fix it. Left to themselves, things go from bad to worse.

Good Luck, D.
