Dash light for cruise control comes on when you push on button, as soon as push set button, light goes out and no cruise. Sometimes cruise works, but when you press brake to slow down and go to engage cruise again, light usually goes out and no cruise. Is it brake switch, clock spring or something else?

these vans are known to have faulty clock springs, which can cause the problems. I think there's a recall on them...give your local Chrysler dealer a call.

Check your vacuum lines. Most of the time it is the vacuum lines, or the cruise actuator. I have seen a couple of brake switches not allow the cruise to set also. If it feels like it sets, then loses speed, it is a vacuum/actuator problem. If it is not setting at all, it could be either the brake switch, or the actuator.

Some of these dont use a light you just hit the on button and set cruise remember if brake is hit it shuts down and you must be going over 40mph, if this doesnt work then check your fuses, good luck.

Brake switch is most likely. When the clock spring fails It wont come back. The air bag light stays lit and the horn does not work. could be a bad connection but it will be in the area of the brake switch.LOL
Did have the airbag light come on for a while, but went out on its own. Will change brake switch first and go from there.
If the problem is the clock spring the air bag light will come on when the cruise fails. they both get power from the same source
