  • the "spider" for fuel injection on these is a known trouble area. you probably have lots of buildup in the fuel injectors. take it to the dealership or a trustworthy mechanic and let them fix it.

In order to help you, need a little bit more info here. Is the check engine light on? Did you recently disconnect the battery for any reason?

SOURCE: hard to start and smell gas

have 1994 4.3 cpi and the problem I had sounds same.
It was a leaky pressure line in pletium . easy fix $45.00 part $15.00 gasket.
the leak was caused from the fuel lines rubbing together in pletium.
take the vortec cover off ,then remove air regulator in middle and look inside . I turned on power to key and gas spray came from drivers side of pletium looking in hole.fuel line side. if gas spray on passanger side then gas regulator faulty. takes 5 min to check
After fixing truck runs runs great. no more gas smell in cab.
also you can smell oil for gas

check airflo sensor or potentometer, throttle pos sensor; if revs are to low when turning the wheel the power steering pump will draw power from engine, causing your other problems

SOURCE: Blazer rumbling,choking,missing in engine

Check the fuel pressure regulator. generally "failure" position is full open which will richen up the fuel mixture. also check vacuum line to the regulator for cracks and good connection.

SOURCE: 1988 chevy s10 blazer 4.3, cut out , will srart but will not stay

Your vehicle as an ignition control module located on top of the distributor (under the cap and rotor) I would pull the ICM and take it to NAPA and have it tested if bad replace it (cost about $80). Sounds like a ICM problem or it could be the ignition switch located on the steering coloum which can't be tested but costs $20. Hope this works

Loud ticking noise when first staring, engine stalls sometimes when starting it unless I hold the gas pedal down

The TPS would be what I would do had that problem once myself solved the problem. as for the ticking noise sounds like a lifter is bleeding down as long as the noise goes away you will be ok. But may I suggest that if you are going to keep the vehicle for awhile longer you might want to have a set of lifters put in it.

sounds like you need to change your fuel filter or you may need a new fuel pump relay

1983 s10 blazer low rough idle and trys to die when starting have to give it a little gas and put it into drive real quick then when slowing down keep foot on gas pedal as i also slow down with break pedal

Could be several things, a vac leak, dirty throttle body, or faulty idle air control valve.
The computer controls idle speed by how much air enters the throttle body thru the valve.
Usually a vac leak would speed up the engine unless it is causing the rough idle.

Once my blazer gets up to 55 and runs a little while, i start to lose rpms and when i give it gas it does nothing unless i give a very little gas until it dies down to nothing. if i pull over and wait few...

Sounds like you are running out of gas. When was the last time you changed the fuel filter? PO 300 means there is a miss fire which can harm the catalytic converter. It could also be a ignition problem. Coil pickup. Without hands on diagnosis it is hard to exactly pin point the problem.

I have a 1993 blazer i have replaced the plugs wires cap rotor and egr valve i know the ignition timing is correct and it will start but wont run very well and it dies as soon as i let my foot off the gas...

You know the timing is right because you checked it with a timing light? The distributors can go bad causing this also it could be caused by low fuel pressure, bad fuel pump.
