Question about 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
My 05 jeep grand cherokee's horn started randomly going off - I had to get the horn pad replace. It is in the steering column. - a $300 job. I did get two estimates and they were both about the same. The shop that did it had a hard time getting the part as it was backordered from Jeep. Now it is back at the shop becuase now when you press the unlock button on the key it sets the horn off! I am trying to find out if there was a recall for this?
Go to the Menu in your Jeep. There is a question that asks you if you want the horn to sound when you unlock/lock the doors. You need to hit the Step button so that there is a "N" instead of a "Y" and this should stop the horn from going off
