Question about Nissan Versa
I have a 2009 nissan versa hatchback model s and the horn stopped working and when i have the hood open and hit the horn or the key lock button i hear a clicking sound i dont know what is wrong with the car if it is a bad relay or something else please help anyone it would be very helpfull thanks
The click is the horn electrical relay. This is a sign that the horn or horns are burned out and you must replace them. Test them by applying 12 volts and a ground to the horn terminals or if a signal terminal ground the horn body and apply 12 volts to the single terminal of the horn.

You might can have the dealer program it not to honk, but its just the way the keyless entry works. I've owned 2 accords--an 06 and 08--and both of them honk the horn when the lock button is pressed twice. Pressing the button once will secure the car and arm the alarm. So once click is all you really need. And no your alarm is not malfunctioning.

The remote won't ework because the problem is in the vehicle. Just for test purposes and possible remedy. Remove and clean the negative battery cable. Ensure a clean , tight connection. Then find the body ground. Yhis ground is locted usually at the top rear of the engine. .I's a snall stainless steel strap bolted to the engine and fire wall, This must olsobe clean with a good contack. Might as well clean the + cable and connection on the battery while you are there. Good luck and keep me posted olease. Good Luck, Ned_

shove down on the hatch as hard as you can, maybe with a friends help, while holding pressure down on the hatch try popping it open.

Just hold the lock and unlock button on your key until you hear the horn again. Then its activated :)

SOURCE: horn does not sound
horn is under the hood. usually right against the grill or mounted on fender well. fuses for horn can be under the dash, or in fuse panel under the hood.
