Usually in most cases, and at least on one of the engines possible on the escape, the oil pressure sending unit is located right next to the oil filter on the front of the engine. It looks like a small metal can with only one wire connecting to it. With what little detail i have for now, that's all i can say to help you. if you want more precise info i would need to know what engine is in the hood exactly. So for now hope this helps, if not just message me back with engine info.

Need to replace oil pressure sensor/or sending unit(getting low oil pressure idiot light when idleing in drive) 1997 dodge neon dhc 2.0L. I have a new one but cant seem to find where it is located on the...

In my experience with neon's the sending unit is most likely not the problem. I feel that you will find that the oil pressure is actually low and that the oil pump is going out. If you change the sending unit and it doesn't change then you will know for sure. The sending unit is located on the side of the block near the oil filter. It has one wire and simply unscrews and the new one screws back in and re-attach the wire. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I have 1998 silverado 2500 (vortec). Was driving then engine stalled out. Ecm-i fuse keeps blowing when switch is engaged but prior to turning engine over. Fuel gauge is also pegged over passed full....

you may need to drop the fuel tank and see if the sendig unit or the fuel pump is the problem.once the plugs are off the tank everything should return to normal if the problem is in the sending unit, the guage should show empty.note,do this with an empty tank.

The oil pressure sending unit is located behind the oil filter, Threaded into an aluminunm housing. It has wiring that plugs into the sending unit. The oil filter has to be removed and you will need a deep well socket and a 6 inch extension. Change the oil and the sending unit together.

Cant get car to stay running

Change the throttle position sensor. it cost about $42.00 at autozone. take your old one up and they will test it for you. this helped me .also if when you press on the break does your car seem like it is triing to stall. If so change your break booster it might have a vacum leak so check your hoses!

Low oil pressure

I believe your sending unit is located on the top of the block, towards the fire wall. You can get an inexpensive pressure test gauge and put in place of your sending unit. It should be a 1/4" NPT fitting. Does the pressure gauge fluctuate between low and high RPM? If so, chances are that your oil pump may need to be replaced.
