Unhook the motor from the body mount its on...holding it is your hand (without the wiper arm on it!) while u have someone turn the wipers on then "off"...shut off ignition...resinstall motor, then arm set about 1-3" from the stop on the wiper "galley" at the bottom of the windshield.

How do I fix wipers that are stuck in the up position when they are shut off

this could be a problem in the wiper motor controls on the wiper. However before going there I would lift the wiper arms off the screen and allow the wipers to work normally and see where they actually park. Having determined where they park I would then remove the wiper arms and relocate to the parked position. Still with the arms off the screen cycle the wiper and see if they stop where they should. If so place the wipers back on the screen
If all that fails then replace the wiper motor.

Olds Silhouette Passenger Side wiper not working

Your wipers have a transmission of its own. It is located between the wiper motor and the wiper arms. the linkage to the right wiper arm has fallen off. More than likely you will need to replace the transmission. If the wiper motor is original, replace it at the same time. Sometimes you can buy the two together. Any other questions, feel free to write back, good luck.

Windshield wiper come up a little bit and get stuck and you can still here the motor for them running

You may have caught the damage in time...both arms need to be tightened down onto the sure they are both aligned properly before be sure, turn the wiper switch to off while car running...then with care turned sure both arms are in the down position...tightening should work since the wiper motor is still working...Hope this helps...(This usually happens in winter...clearing ice and snow from the wipers...:)

Windshield wipers park in the middle of the windshield when turned off. How do I correct this?

This is simple (none of the answers above were correct for me), but there was NO DOCUMENTATION to fix this. I couldn't find it anywhere on the NET either. You shouldn't need to replace anything. Your "eccentric" arm, that is directly connected to the motor, was reinstalled 90 degrees off. You need to unbolt the arm from the motor and rotate it 90 degrees to the proper position and reassemble. How?? Take off the motor/linkage cover and watch the linkage operate while someone turns the wipers on and off. Take note of the eccentric arm (bolted to the motor) when the wipers are at the bottom (where they SHOULD park). Then turn off the wipers and take note of the eccentric arm again. (with the wipers parked in the middle). Now you know where the arm IS and how you need to change it when you bolt it back on. Take out the assembly, loosen the bolt, and adjust to the proper angle and reassemble. This fixed mine the first time. (2004 Toyota Avalon).

The windshield wipers do not dock in the proper place. How can I fix this problem?

The wiper crank arm has bent the small blocker tab located on the wiper motor housing in the engine compartment. you will need to bend it straight back up to make the park lever on the crank cam grab this tab, unfortuneatly it sometimes requires removing the cam, repairing the tab and then retiming the cam back on the motor, this should be done by a tech as it can be troublesome, alldata DIY can supply the proceedure for a small fee!

Windscreen wipers have a high pitch squeek I changed the wiper blades three times. I changed the windsrceen last week, thinking it was some product in the glass. The high pitch squeek continues

Try to run the wiper motor with the wiper arms removed and thnnotice if it is still squeeking. If it is thn you will have to lubricate the wiper shafts especially where the wiper arm fits.
Hope this helps!

2001 Pontiac montanaThe front wipers park in the up position

This is a common problem with Chevy Venture, Olds Silhouette, and  Pontiac Montana. The mechanical wiper drive and parking cam assembly, if it's not broken, needs adjustment. The spring loaded stop arm should engage the vertical tab on the assembly mounting plate when the wiper motor reverses. See pic.  9a7b0af.jpg
I will upload the instructions to fix this problem, if there is interest.

Theres a nut on the rear wiper arm on my Olds Sill van 2002.Is it a regular nut ?

If you are referring to the front or wiper arm mounting nut, it is either a 13mm head or a 15mm head. You will need to hold the arm to tighten it, if a loose nut is your problem.
