Question about 1990 Chevrolet Cavalier

91 chevy cavalier, leaky bolts near valve cover

Okay So i have 1991 Chevrolet Cavalier and i had a friend look at it for me and said i had a blown head gasket the problem though is that on my valve cover there are bolts attached to the block and they seem to be leaking anti freeze, i was wondering if i could just pull them out put some sealent on it and put the bolts back in or should i just leave it be?

Yes thats ok just use some teflone on the bolt threads and dont use to much and do not over tighten.
refill what leaks out.

Some fault code is stored in the PCM (computer); to know what is the problem, I suggest scanned the PCM with some scanner reader codes. Autozone or AutoShop with this tools sometimes make this for free.

I had the same problem with a '91 Cavalier recently. The Crank Position Sensor, located on the back side of the engine, was bad.

Where can i find where i fill my coolant on my 91 chevy cavalier?

Have you tried the radiator under the hood located in the very front or the coolant reservoir located under the hood also and is clearly marked coolant .it also tells you the coolant level that needs to be in the vehicle

91 chevy cavalier for the first 5 minutes runs rough and stalls. after 5 minutes it runs with no problem. no service lights.

remove the spark plus and check the deposit color, light color on one or two indicates a head gasket leak,

Master cylinder in my 91 chevy cavlier

It should be located on the drivers side inside the engine compartment on the firewall inline with your steering wheel.
