Check for sticky/seized brake caliper or wheel cylinder if drum brakes. Make sure hand brake off all the way .

Smoking from passenger wheel

It would either be a brake grabbing or a bad wheel bearing.

Person next to me told me my front right passenger tire was smoking. He yelled out something about brakes. Sometimes my brake light goes on.

Sounds like the brake caliper is seized on that right front wheel and the pads are heating the disc and smoking. Just put you finger on the disc and feel it after a journey.

Smoke coming back passenger side tire smoking and made loud bang sound

My guess is the brake is being applied by the ABS system due to a leaking hydraulic valve in the hydraulic control section of the ABS module.

Tire smoking

I would say you have a failed wheel bearing
or brake problem
I doubt you have a strut issues
Maybe ball joint, but if a tire was involved it wouldn't
last long & you would be under there checking all
around the tire, correct, you have ruled out the tire have you not?

something is binding up, maybe behind the rotor? could be a bad brake line causing the caliper to stay engaged

My rear passenger brakes are smoking and producing a lot of brown dust. What would cause that?

Sounds like that brake is stuck on, or at the very least BINDING badly. It will need the wheel and brake drum removing so that the operation of the brake cylinder can be checked. IF the brake cylinder piston isn't fully retracting, then it will need to be either: stripped and overhauled, or replaced. The challenge then is that when ONE cylinder has begun to be problematic then it's very likely that others will also be close to this point as well. To be truthful, if you're in this position, it'll be best to have a complete (four wheel) brake overhaul. Safest and most economical in the long run. Best of luck!!

Smoking from rear tire on passenger side, what could it be

Is your parking brake fully dis-engaged? It could be a wheel braring, too. Raise that tire off the ground and spin it and shake it. If you have any noticeable play or wobble, check the wheel bearings

My rear passenger tire started smoking what could the problem be?

Are you sure it's the tire? It could be the brakes (not releasing) which could result in 'smoke'. The only way it could be the tire would be if it was rubbing on something, or you were spinning or locking up the tires. Feel the center of the wheel when you see the smoke, if it's very hot, it's probably the brakes not releasing.
