Question about 1992 Honda Accord

1 Answer

My 1989 Honda Accord LXi won't start in the heat. My mecanic says he can't find anything wrong with it (of course the car starts whenever I bring it to him, he kept it a week and it never did not start...), but yesterday again I got stuck somewhere because it was parked in the sun and got hot, battery is fine.

My 89 honda accord lxi with the 2.0 won't idle correctly, it idles up and down and when you first start it up in the morning it idles about 2500 rpm or higher.

air in the IACV (idle air control valve) coolant line - air bubbles in the coolant will confuse the iacv into incorrect idle settings.....even when hot, and a fault in this unit will do the same thing, very very common fault in a honda.

89 Accord LXI Idle problems

It's fuel infected and it has a vacuum leak, most likely a PCV valve that is stuck open, I've seen a few now. Replace the PCV valve 1st, if that doesn't fix it, start looking for a hose that has come off.

Car will not start,I changed the spark plugs, I also changed the wires, I changed the roater. My Honda is a LX-i 1986 , 2.0 Lt.

Did you have this problem after you changed those things?
Have you tested the main relay? I had to re-solder mine and now my car starts. I have an 89 lxi.
