Question about 2003 GMC Yukon Denali
Truck ran fine the day before. I parked it and applied the parking brake and was messing with trying to remove the buttons from the steering wheel to see if I could get to the bulbs that are burnt out to replace them. not really knowing what I was needing to do to remove them I stopped messing with it and went to bed. Now the truck wont start but turns over fine. all the buttons on the steering wheel still work as normal. is there any way I could have damaged anything messing with that stuff? I have no trouble codes and its not in anti theft mode. atleast the light doesn't stay on. I haven't checked spark or fuel yet. just wanted to see if anyone has had a issue with bad wires in the steering wheel or column that could cause this problem.
I agree first check if you got a spark and check if fuel is actually being supplied

Did you try to replace the starter cable? is the Truck turning over or just clicking.? If it's turning over and not starting. Best guess would be one of two things. Knock sensors Located under intake manifold. they get wet and deteriorate or the fuel pump. I've replaced all three on mine. 233k still running strong...

hi for info the brakes warning light on dash is also an indication that brake fluid level is low? or there may be a leak resulting in fluid level drop ? also considering age of car you may need to inspect brake pads wear ? if your car has low brake pads wear indicators attached to pads ? or the hand brake switch req's checking to ensure it is being pushed to off position when h/brak is down ? so fluid level low is the obviouse 1st check as fluid will displace from reservoir as pads wear low hence the level indicator on fill cap trips on may i suggest if it is low level b4 you top up? check your b/pads if you have not done so recently? or replaced since new ? hope this helps you locate problem best wishes from the uk

if the fuel pump is running check the fuse for the injectors if the fuse is good check the air filter to be sure it is not too restrictive if that is good check to see if the fuel filter is put on so that the arrow on the filter is towards the engine.you also might look at the spark plugs to see that they arent fouled out and they arc properly. check the coils to see if all of them get a spark. if the fuel pump is not running check fuse or that the pump is connected properly. if the pump isnt running the engine will just run off of the fuel already in the line until it is gone causing it to stall out

You are going to have to pry it over the axle on one side of the park brake shoe assembly with either a pry bar or screwdriver. then just pop the new one back over the axle in the same way. Hope this helps

Disrupting the power supply triggers the antitheft system, and even though everything is back the way it should be, one the system is triggered there's no way to undo it. The only option vehicle owners have had for a long time is to take it to a dealership where they will have to replace the module, or sensor, replace the ignition switch and key. The average cost for these three parts plus labor is $1,000.00+. There is san alternative fix that is considerably cheaper.
