Pretend we are blind.
what country.??
06, Liana.
what engine, Gas or Diesel???
there are 2 systems. OBD1 and OBD2
the hood stickers usually tell you which it is. (obd2 certified)
if car is OBD2 cert then any cheap but new scan tool works.
if car is USA car the OBD2 port is near the knees, 16pins
the spec, call out 1meter from steering shaft center. USA spec.
OBD2 is a USA spec. so...... where are you......

see here the car and all the variants.
see why we dont know, until you say so.

Hi,
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Please could you help me with a photo where Suzuki liana's thermostart is located on the engine?

no year, no engine option stated, nor country. (we dont have em' in USA)
it's same spot all engines, mostly.
see radiator. see 2 big hoses.
the one that gets hot first, is the one that goes to the thermostat housing,. (under-which thermostat hides)
i have no idea which engine you have, at all.

the engines offered are:
1.3 L I4; 1.5 L I4; 1.6 L I4; 1.8 L I4; 2.0 L I4; 2.3 L I4; 1.4 L Diesel I4

yes, overwhelming,

Why engine check come and go when it is started?

i suggest that you have the fault codes read as that may be a coded flash for a reported fault. have the codes read and fix what is causing it to flash.

HI i have a 2002 Suzuki liana. The engine coolant light was blinking red today so i oulled over at garage. Got the coolant replaced and got going but car still sounds like its overheating and started to...

Hello Dave,

The cooling system in your Suzuki has many components and sensors.

The best place to start is to check for fault codes. If you have a SES (Service Engine Soon ) light illuminating on the dash cluster then that would indicate a problem has been detected.

An example would be : P1460 Radiator Fan Control System Fault.

As on board diagnostic systems do not cover all possible component failures it will be necessary to trouble shoot the fault by an orderly process of checks and tests which is best achieved by following the service manual procedures for your model.

SUZUKI LIANA 2002 ENGINE CUTTING OUT INTERMITTANTLY

Not sure if you have already figured this out- or just sold your car, but I have been having the same problem and had a bit of a search around forums etc. Looks like it is the Crank Angle Sensor which needs to be replaced. I am about to go and get my car fixed so fingers crossed this is the miracle cure. Here is a link to the forum discussion on the issue.

Suzuki liana 2003 only done 14000 km will only run for 20 minutes

Have you checked all fuses for the cooling fans? Seems to be that the car is warming up to temp and then some, and protecting itself from overheating by shutting down the engine.
