Pulling an engine is just a matter of disconnecting the mounts, all electrical connections, fuel lines and radiator hoses. This has not changed ever no matter the year.

Definition of ethnic cleansing

Ethnic cleansing has nothing to do with autos or mechanics or any type of mechanical knoledge at all it means taking all of a certian segment of any given society classifying them by thier ethnic background ie; christian, muslim hindu or even thier nationallity like north korean or african or even thier skin color like black or brown isolating that segment and killing them off all of them that is ethnic cleansing. Is thier some isolationist in your life spewing retoric at you all the time. Some abuser who wants you to believe what they do if so get the hell away from them however you can anyone who believes in ethnic cleansing in any way shape or form does not belong in a modern civilized society . Im my opionion and you know what they say about opionions thier just like the person you need to leave in the dust

How do I bypass Hood Lock Assembly on Mazda Drifter 2.5

I assume you need to know how to open the engine compartment without using the regular bonnet release, probably because it is broken or seized?

There is no easy method with most modern cars which why it is as important to keep the release mechanism in good order as it is to change the engine oil and filter.

It is an intuitive process and it is best to begin by studying the bonnet release of a similar model. Some previous experience of the problem would be a definite advantage.
Sometimes it is possible to grip a broken cable if the break is outside the engine compartment and having an assistant push down on the bonnet helps.

Sometimes it is possible to remove enough items from underneath to allow the mechanism or the cable to be reached and manipulated. Sometimes some things have to be deliberately broken...

I am looking for a picture of a thermostat for a 2003 Olds Silhouette Engine

i could post a picture of typical thermostat but iam assuming that you need to know its located on the engine which i cannot help with as iam a europeon mechanic whos never seen this model vehicle but the most likely place is to follow the top hose back to the engine and see if it has housing but many modern vehicles have it positioned now in the bottom hose so try a direct question to one of the american technicians like emmisionwiz or DJtech

Need to know how to check the oxygen sensors on a 1996 saturn sl

Don't know if this will answer it. O2 sensors send info to the computer to make adjustments to the emissions system. Over time the O2 sensors fail which cause the computer to light the "Check engine" light. Originally the "Check engine" light was dedicated to an emission system fault. Now manufactures use it for a variety of abnormalities. To know what the "check engine" light means you have to either take it to a mechanic or buy a OBDII scanner (around $100) and read the code yourself. I like to read my own codes. These scanners are good for all modern cars. Instructions are included EZ to follow.
Long story short, don't worry about it the check engine light will come on when O2 sensor fails. Happy motoring!

Car misfires thoughout the whole range. new plugs & leads fitted. compression checks out ok

It's almost certainly got a failed engine sensor, but as modern engines are computer controlled robots which rely on sensors for all aspects of their operation you need to get the car plugged into a diagnostic tester to know which one is the problem.

Sorry, these are not like older traditional electro-mechanical engine feedback and control systems where there were distributors, HT leads, points, carburettors etc. They were all sources of inefficiency and unreliability but were usually easy to diagnose and fix.

Speedometer won't work on 1995 mustang

Modern cars no longer use a mechanical cable and speedometer. They have an electronic sensor called the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) which is mounted to the transmission where the old speedometer cable used to go. If the engine was replaced, perhaps the mechanic forgot to plug the wiring harness back into the VSS? Or perhaps he damaged the wiring or the sensor during the engine overhaul. (The transmission has to be removed to remove the engine from the car.)

1998 volvo s70 has a freon leak; mechanic/dealer checked under the hood and could not find the leak; says the dash would need to be removed to see where the leak is; Does the dash need to be removed to fix...

Only if the leak is under the dash will the dash need to be removed. If he could not find the leak how does he know it's under the dash? LOL...Your mechanic is STOOPID...or playing you for a big repair bill. Halogen leaks (freon) are easy to detect with todays modern testing equipment. Get a second opinion on your car. There is no reason a leak can't be detected, if indeed there is a leak. Good luck...i hope this helps.

2001 toyota avalon timing belt out of adjustment

This is not simple and requires a technician with the proper knowledge. Modern engines are non interference which means with the timing improperly set you can severly damage the engine. If the engine has not been damged already I would have the vehicle towed to someone who could repair it. Odds are if the timing is off and the engine wont crank the head has already been damaged.
