Question about 1998 GMC Envoy
Also when I push the 4hi or 4 lo it blinks and then nothing
P0452 is related to the Evaporative Emissions Control system and has nothing to do with the 4WD system.
The P0452 may be something as simple as a loose or bad gas cap.
The 4WD system is somewhat complicated and requires more diagnostics.

It is not connected to the code. The tranny has a temp sensor for overdrive not to work when tranny is cold

This sounds like the fuel tank pressure sensor is malfunctioning. It is located on top of the tank by the fuel pump.It looks like a black square that is about 3/4"x3/4".The tank may have to be lowered down to see this.

It is the buttons. It is about a $50 part new on ebay. Easy to replace. Just pull gently on the dash bezel. I believe there are two screws/bolts. Pull it out and disconnect the wire harness. Then just plug it in and put it back together.
