The cable tightness is loose therefore causing the light to come on while driving, tighten or replace the eb cable hope that helps or you need to push in the button on it hold the button and pull it back as far as you can. let go then push button pull back farther and release, this should tighten the tension.
There seem to be two problems in your case. First thing first. Shift your steering wheel left or right to free the catch so your key will turn. Brake lights, mean the back lights or the red light indicator on your meter for the hand brake? Pease confirm!!
Hi, my lefthand indicator light is not functioning propely on my Renault megane scenic 1.6. 2001 model. there is that flicker sound when I turn it on and it ticks very fast and nothing flashes on the dash and nothing on the external lights as well. It also does the same thing on the hazards but the right hand side works perfect. please help. EDDIE
got me thinking here .,,,,in all honesty havent come across this on this model before but i have had it on a renault i think it was and it was caused by a chaffed wire under the bonnet near the power distribution box cant see it being the computer as this would run a feed to the relay not direct to the lights as the ECU is only chips and not many power passing transistors in a car ECU ,no check the wiring loom ,also dodnt these vehicles have a parking light that comes on either side of the car when indicator is put to that side ,could something be wrong with that maybe ,Must say though never heard of a vauxhall passat though ,Were you on night shift when you wrote this
Sounds like u have a set of crossed wires.most likely your brake lights and your indicator lights. as for the beeping. could be another short ti power for your door dinger. this is assuming that the beeping is the same as if u left your keys in the ignition
i wiried up my focus estate with the following no relays needed as the wiring is protected by the car fuses pin 1.yellow/left hand indicator pin 2.blue fog light pin 3.white/earth pin 4.right hand indicator pin 5.brown/right hand tail light pin 6.red/ brake lights pin 7. black left hand tail light connect these to the car wiring with scotch locks as follows/red/blue.right hand indicator/blue.left hand indicator,green/black,left hand indicator,red/green,right hand indicator, orange right hand light, orange and white, left hand lights, finally green/yellow fog light hope this is of use to you all my lights are working and correct
