Question about 2003 Pontiac Aztek

1 Answer

I cleaned my cars cigarette lighter with wd-4o but then realized it was flammable so I cleaned the wd-40 out with rubbing alcohol. Am I in danger of starting a fire in my car? Should I be worried about a fire? I read that rubbing alcohol can clean wd-40.

SOURCE: Cigarette lighter not working properly in Pontiac...

This is a very common issue, either the ground at the back of the lighter socket is pulled off, or more likely the socket is defective, they are very easy to change, u can use a generic replacement from any parts store, the factory part will be at least 2X as much..

SOURCE: where the cigarette lighter fuse in car 2005 grand

i just had to change mine. It is under the hood, on the passenger side. Its located in a black box that has either a lightning bolt on it, or says fuses. the box is near the battery if that helps. When you open it, it will be labeled as "Auxilery Power" or "Aux Power"on the diagram located on the inside of te box. It is a single fuse. It was confusing on mine because there were two things labeled "10", but it will be a thin, probabily yellow fuse that says 25 on it. Dont get it confused with the big square grey thing on the left side. You might even have a spare fuse if you check the diagram.

The fuse for the cigarette lighter and the auxilliary power outlets is located in the Underhood Fuse Block. It is marked on the legend inside the lid as "AUX PWR/CIGAR" it is a 20 Amp fuse.

Check the fuse box for faulty fuses for the radio/accessories and the cigarette lighter. Replace the fuses with the correctly rated fuses.

Used cigarette lighter to inflate tire, left inflater on for a long time now cigarette lighter doesn't work and car doesn't always start

It sounds like you might have drained your battery! When the car is running does the Cigarette lighter produce power? It should be working while the car is running. That would also explain why the car starts sporadically. Try leaving the car on for 40 minutes. That might charge the battery enough.

Can I use a trickler on my car battery without raking the battery out of car?

Just plug it into the wall only. Put charger on like 10 amps for like an hour. And yes batteries can give off a flammable gas. Just hook the charger up to the car first then plug it it

What to use to get english oil out of house carpert

Use either alcohol, WD 40 or another solvent. Then when you have applied that and blotted up as much as you can, use DAWN original dish soap to get the rest of it out. Note that some of the items that you may use on the stain could be flammable and therefore should not be used with a vacuum type rug cleaner.

How do i find out if its the cigarette lighter port or a fuse that needs replacing on my 2008 Mazda 5?

I pulled fuse 4 from the inside fuse box on the passenger side dashboard, but quickly realized it is for the rear power outlet, not the cigarette lighter outlet. The cigarette lighter outlet is fuse number 6. They are both blue 15A fuses.

Driver side window, will work fine for awhile. then wont work.. then work agian. any ideas on what could be the problem ?

2 solutions to this, either need to pop out the module in the door where all the buttons are and clean them with an electronic safe compound (wd-40, rubbing alcohol, etc) and if that didnt work then

2.. you need a new module for the door, you can pick them up very cheap at the scrap yard and its as simple as taking the few wiring harnesses off and putting them on new one ,
