Question about 1990 Toyota Camry
I change out the wiring harness now the car starts then dies. cant keep it running
Since you worked on it .. best possiibilty is that you did not reassembel correctly.. Go back over everything you did.. and look for a miisplaced wire, blown fuses, or some other problrm you missed.and if yyou do not find it look again..

Have ya checked the timing belt to see if it has stripped teeth or broken? Thats a common problem on those seein how ppl dont even heed warnings on the timing belt .. check it and let me know.. Thanks.. get back to me

petrol engine running on when switched off is excessive carbon deposits in head glowing and igniting the incoming mixture,,if in diesel the fuel shut off solinoid is not working

SOURCE: I have a '93 Toyota
replace the IAC valve (idle air control valve)!! This is located below the throttle body, usually grey colored with a wire harness connected to it. This sensor controls air flow through the intake, if dirty or sticking it will cause stalls. Also check if all hoses and vacuum lines are tight and not leaking.

SOURCE: I have a 1999 Toyota Camry it starts up and runs for a few seconds and dies right down. I've changed the fuel filter and it seems to run just a little bit longer. But it still will not keep running. A
Check your fuel pressure. It may be low, or losing pressure from a bad pressure regulator. A thorough test of your fuel system seems in order. (A pressure test can also detect a bad regulator, if it's done properly.)
