Question about 2002 Honda Accord

Need the location of the gas tank solenoid valve

Where is the solenoid valve located? I don't want to drop the sub frame and gas tank. I'd rather cut an access hole if I can get someone to tell me where to do it.

Air you meaning the air flow solenoid ? as this is in the engine bay... its just a pipe from the tank to the engine bay. sits under the window on the pass side behind the cover then the pipe feeds out to the side with a filter on the end.

SOURCE: WHERE IS THE FUEL PUMP

Cutting a hole in it could cause you to get exhaust gas inside the cabin and I do not recommend you do this. It is easier if you just break off the bolt and drop the tank then replace the bolt. If you try to drill it out you could short out the wires on the tank or drill a hole in the gas tank and cause an explosion. Thanks for using fix-ya.

Hello have a 2006 Isuzu I-280 and I needed to replace, at this moment, the Evaporative Valve Soleniod which is instaled next to the Vapor Canister. In my case, It is mounted on the frame behind the gas tank you will have to move the spare tire out of the way one bolt holds it in place, this is where the canister is and the valve is mounted on the canister this is where it is mounted on my 2006 I-280. If you need to replace the solenoid and you can't find the original Isuzu part, you can ask for the 2006 Chevy Impala V-6 3.5 Purge Valve Solenoid. It is the same piece. The old Evaporative Vent Valve Solenoid has a number part PA-GF30, and it is the same part number I found in the new Chevy Impala Evaporative Vent Valve Solenoid. Good luck.

Need to find where the evap solenoid is located

usually in front or on top of the gas tank. If you are getting a code like P0449 "Evap Vent Solenoid Control Circuit Malfunction" You could first check the wiring at the solenoid for corrsion, if OK change the valve. If the solenoid is on the top of the tank you have to drop the tank

Local auto parts ran a diagnostic scan on my chevy cheyenne pick up found a code that stated vacum leak or bad evap sensor or hose cracked or leaking where is is this located on my chevy 5.3 vortec engine

What was the code number?

One of the most common evap issue with GM trucks is a cigarette pack sized Evap Vent Solenoid located near the rear of the gas tank. Code P044x. It's there to depressurize the gas tank and check for leaks.

The EPA says that fuel is no longer allowed to evaporate into the air so it seals off the fuel system. The vent valve opens so gas and fumes don't blow in your face when you open the gas cap. If it don't release the pressure it throws a code and if it don't close and allow pressure to build while driving it throws another code.

Start checking there for bad or disconnected hoses and wiring. Part itself is about $40 and easy to replace. It's location allows road dirt, dust and grime to get into the valve and jam the solenoid.

Where is the location of a vent valve solenoid on a 2006 chevy uplander minivan

There are two. One is the Canister Vent Solenoid located above the gas tank and it has to be dropped to change. The other is the Vent Purge Valve and it is located under the hood to the right on the intake manifold close to your brake fluid reservoir.

My ford truck is 1991 with two fuel tanks. When I switch to the rear tankthe gas pums into the forward tank and overflows thrugh the gas cap. Is there a check valve that has failed.

Not a check valve. It's the Switch actuator located on the frame rail under the truck. It has two solenoids in it, One of them quit. You can try to clean and inspect the wiring harness first, But most cases it's the actuator

The vehicle wont accept fuel it spills all over and gas gauge is stuck over full??? but runs out of gas, then very very very slowly it accepts very little gas then you can drive again.chevyscott20@yahoo.com

SOUND LIKE YOUR EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CONTROL NOT WORKING.SCAN VECHICLE FOR FOR FAULTY FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR MALFUNCTION.AND THE CANISTER PURGE SOLENOID VALVE OR CANISTER VENT SOLENOID NOT WORKING.CAUSING EXCESSIVE FUEL PRESSURE AND FUMES BUILD UP IN FUEL TANK.CHECK CANISTER IT COULD BE GAS SOAKED NEED REPLACING OR VACUUM LINES GOING TO CANISTER PURGE SOLENOID OR VENT SOLENOID COULD BE BROKEN.PURGE VALVE LOCATED ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ENGINE ON A BRACKET AND VENT SOLENOID LOCATED ON A BRACKET NEXT TO FUEL TANK.CHECK BOTH MAKE SURE VACUUM LINES NOT BROKE OR DISCONNECTED.MAKE THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR INTACT ALSO.FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR ON TOP OF TANK ON THE FUEL PUMP MODULES.ALL YOU CAN DO IS REMOVE CANISTER SEE IF FULL OF GAS REPLACE IT.AND CHECK FOR BROKE AND DISCONNECTED VACUUM LINES.THE DEALERSHIP HAS TO HOOK UP DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT CHECK IT OUT.BE CHEAPER BECAUSE ALL THEM EVAP PARTS NOT CHEAP THAT WHY LET DEALERSHIP SCAN IT SAVE MONEY IT WILL CUT THE COST.WARNING DONT KEEP DRIVING VECHICLE.GAS VAPORS PRESSURE BUILD UP ON HOT DAY FUELTANK WILL BLOW UP LIKE BALLON.PRESSURE KEEP BUILDING UP.

Codes PO 442, 449 and 455

Check all vacuum lines from the gas tank to the evaporative charcoal cannister by the gas tank and to the purge valve located at the engine. Check the electrical connector at the vent solenoid which should be located on the charcoal cannister and purge valve solenoid by the intake manifold.

Replacing fuel filter

Unfortunatly most dakotas have an inline fuel filter, its located in the gas tank because there not supposed to need regular maintenance or changing. Basically you have to drop your gas tank to get the fuel filter out.
