Wipers will not shut off, fuse is good, the wipers are not in the on position, but they are running

There could be 2 issues here. Either the electronic control module in the wiper motor is toast. Replace wiper motor. Or, the switch is bad in the cab. Find the connector for the switch and disconnect it. This should stop the wipers. I would lean towards the module inside the wiper motor assembly.

Replaced fuse, windshield wiper motor, link assembly, and still wont work in 98 lincoln navigator

The only thing left is the wiper switch. Check for power at the wiper motor when in low position (should be a green or white with green tracer wire). Also check the connection at the base of the steering column for the wiper switch.

95 Lincoln town car--intermittent wipers do not work and wipers do not go to park position-- Larry

Sounds like the slip ring in the wiper motor has a strip missing from it,if so you need a new wiper motor, parts for wiper motors are next to impossible to find.

My rear windshield wipers work randomly. Why? ?"I drive a 1999 lincoln navigator.

you could have a faulty wire connection at the motor, a faulty switch or your relay is broken, try to get a relay first and then look at the motor and lastly it sould be your switch.

1998 Lincoln Navigator rear wiper motor

First remove outer wiper ,take off plastic guard there is a bolt underneath it remve wiper thenremove 2 screws that hold grab handle on inside of rear door.remove 2 plastic push tabs with removal tool.pry plastic cover off carefully removing push tabs with removal tool or flat blade screwdriver about 10 of them if I remember correctly pull bottom half of cover out of each conection and lift off at center. peel plastic from gate carefully as you have to put it back on.this exposes the motor disconnect grey plug to wiper motor ,three 8 mm screws hold motor to tailgate best of luck

Windshield wipers

From your owners manual:

Fuse#11 30A , Wiper Run/Park
Relay, Wiper Hi/LO Relay, Windshield Wiper
Motor, Rear Washer Pump Relay

U will also need to check the relays if the fuse is ok, the relay, it is the underhood fuse box
Relay #202 — Front Wiper Run/Park Relay
