Probably is the alarm being set off by a corrupted CPU program from connecting the leads incorrectly. When using jumper leads or jumper battery the positive lead is connected to the battery terminal first and the earth wire ( negative) is connected to the to the engine . NOT the battery. IT is also advisable to turn on the head lights These precautions prevent a power surge in the CPU that corrupts the program

I have a Taurus 2004, and it happens that the car horn beeps 3 times randomly. does anyone know what would it may be?

the horn beeping at random is indicating a fault in the alarm system. alarms have their own battery which is balanced by the car battery and any unbalance ( corroded connections -bad earth, low charged battery in alarm, loose battery connections ) will cause the horn to sound --same as too sensitive a setting for the alarm or a intermittent power to the alarm

You can probably pull the horn relay to kill the horn while you are working on the problem.
With the battery connected to a jumper, try locking and unlocking the driver's door with the key. If that works, make sure the battery gets charged before you unhook the jumper cables to keep the computer memory alive.

Disconnecting the car battery will reset the alarm system. When you first connect the car battery, the alarm will sound briefly, then stop. You will have to retrain the alarm system to recognize your remotes. The procedure for that varies from one year model to the other. On my 1998 you do it by putting the key in the door lock and holding it full counterclockwise until you hear a brief beep from the alarm horn. Then press a button on your remote and the system will learn to recognize that remote.

connect a jumper wire from the horn to the positive end of the battery to see if the horn will beep. If it does your problem is under the steering wheel

Horn beeps as if in an alarm mode

My 4Runner did the same thing. What I did was just put a new battery in hook it up and let it honk. Put the key in the ignition and start it and it should stop. It is in alarm mode.
