SOURCE: Trouble Code p1004

This from an owner with the same code, indeed it is the intake maniflod that causes the issue.
P1004 is a intakemanifold short runner valve performance. they replaced the intake manifold plenum. cost $1200, but they repaired under warranty in the interest of customer satisfaction. my base warranty is out by milage, yet they repaired it for free. now that is a great dealership. I would talk to the dealer, this is a manufactirer defect, also it may be covered under federal emission warr. 7/70,000

SOURCE: I got a code P2004

what engine? So the guy running the test could'nt point it out to you? You need to find a shop that qualified to repair the car. its a valve on the intake manifold that opens and closes to help th engine produce the most power at low and high rpm. they get stuck. sometimes you can clean them.

2006 chrysler pacifica hesitates on acceleraton then only goes 20 mph

This is known as " limp mode " and I am surprised the dealer didn't run diagnostics because the problem would be logged into the ecu of the car.any problem such as fuel delivery , electronic system , transmission ,instruments to brakes etc should flag up if you encounter a limp mode episode.sometimes it is something simple such as slightly low oil pressure or low fuel ,
sometimes they happen out of the blue and then everything runs as normal so you need to keep a diary of what you where doing and when to try and pinpoint the problem.the car is simply trying to limit engine damage by reducing the revs....best bet is to get it to a garage and ask them to run a quick OBD test.(on board diagnostics) they connect a computer which reads the EMS ( engine management system).next time it does happen check the dashboard lights to see if the yellow car icon light comes on.this is the engine management system light.if you feel like you can tackle this yourself click the you tube link below which explains how to obtain a code reader to pinpoint what may be the problem.with this tool you can reset the EMS and wait for the car to misbehave again but keep the journeys local until you have found out what is going on.

A little late for reply but if that light is blinking while running stop driving, this indicates a major problem with engine, you won't accelerate because PCM is in default mode.

Check engine light is on and my car hesitates when accelerating. Sometimes the check engine light will blink (instead of just stay on steadily) during moments of hesitation/acceleration.

When a 'check engine light' (MIL=Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is turned on, there is a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) set/stored in the ECM/PCM (Engine Control Module/Powertrain Control Module). This code identifies which engine management system component/function experienced a malfunction. Once you pull/read this code, you may begin diagnosis.

Hello everyone, I have a 2009 honda crv and I have within the last month or so been experiencing a bit of an issue when I accelerate. When I hit the accelerator at low speeds it I feel this hesitation and...

Well what the issue exactly is I don't know but the dealer don't know either....Hmmmm it sounds you transmission needs to be serviced....Transmission Fluid change and Filter and gaskets... But also lets consider that your vehicle is not that old and probably is not time for your vehicle for that kind of service....But at some point it sounds like your transmission is about to go out and you might need it to be re-built....Check with your dealership see if your vehicle still under warranty and have them to service your transmission....

Good luck. I hope you get it fixed.
