Fusible links are designated by the gauge of the wire. They are readily available at your local parts store.

1998 Cavalier--I have no brake lights flashers, radio, AC/heater,or head lights. There are dash lights and the car will crank but not turn over. No blown fuses, changed all the relay fuses.

Check the starter connections for a corroded/blown fusible link.Pull on the wires attached there and if one pulls apart easily,it's defective.

Battery light still on after new alternator and battery. Is it Fusible link?

If you have access to a DC volt meter the first thing to do is check what the alternator is putting out, realistically you should have 14 volts or better. now that you have ruled out the alternator. The fusible link if you have one will be off alternator or the positive cable. Also reset your computer.

GM fusible links are always 2 sizes smaller than the wire they are in, so I think you are looking for about size 14 wire, or you could buy new links and splice them in.

Battery is good, had alt checked, its good, still not charging

Assuming that the checks you had done are in fact correct, then the most likely problem would be a bad fusible link in the charging line from the alternator to the battery. The easiest way to test this is to remove the red wire that is bolted to the rear of the alternator and check for voltage there )(on the wire). It should read the battery voltage level. If is is zero volts, or a very low voltage as compared to the battery, then the fusible link in the line is either severed or very close to it. A shop can find and replace the link at a reasonable cost. A DIYer can do it also, providing he can find the link location. Fusible links are installed in these lines to act as protection for the battery and alternator under high current conditions. Fusible links can also crack and break from excessing flexing and age.

84 chev blazer 350ci after leavin lights on used a battery charger jumped it all guages going down the road redlined and when I shut it off no power to anything. cant jump it there is powr at the battery...

From starter solenoid to alternator. This is in case the alternator starts pushing too many volts, it's meant to slow burn. You may have fried the voltage regulator and subsequently the fusible link.

Battery is fulling charge, altantor is new, but have no power what could be wrong

Check battery terminal posts are clean and firmly attached,
Check +12v supply fusible link (and/or in line maxi fuse) is not blown,
Check battery ground and chassis ground connections are in good order.

80a fusible link 95 4runner keeps blowing

You either have a short somewhere, or the alternator is over charging. What does the volt gauge read before it blows, if you don't have a gauge, get a volt meter and test at the battery. Anything over 14.5 will blow the link.

Dead Car, possible solutions?

Not sure if the fusible link is the problem. It sounds more like you have something wrong in the electrical system. If you want to try replacing the fusible link, you can order it on line at www.napaonline.com. But the problem could be as simple as a bad battery. When you turn the key, do the lights come on for your radio or guages?
