Someone must have done a transmission swap in the past.
Have an auto parts store cross match the numbers you find on the transmission....see what it came from.

SOURCE: clutch removal

You have to insert a screwdriver through a hole in the bottom of the transmission. while pushing the fork away from the engine you push the retainer clip with the screwdriver blade. it should release the bearing and cause the cluch fork to move freely toward the engine. It may take you a few tries to do this. This is whats known as an reverse pressure plate assembly. I think its kinda stupid idea. If only the designers would look at what it takes to work on these things......m2242202_00014.png

SOURCE: i need to adjust the clutch on a 1995 standard

You will need to turn the cable adjuster so there is only about 1/8 inch of free travel of the cable where it attaches to throw out fork before it starts to move the fork. Once the throw out bearing is achieving its full travel the clutch should release and enable gear selection.

SOURCE: my pajero manual transmission 4WD has a clanking

a transmission problem when hot, but ok when cold, would suggest that the oil in the gearbox is getting too thin when it heats up.

you say that the transmission has been pulled out but do you know if the oil was actually changed in it.
if the oil has not been changed, drain it and replace with the specified oil.
if it was changed recently, then i would consider using a thicker grade transmission oil instead.

changing gearbox oil, is normally a matter of removing the drain plug on the bottom to drain the old oil, and then refilling using the level plug on the side of the engine.

Good day. When you pushed the clutch pedal in it makes a noise in the engin.

this indicates a faulty throw out bearing
could be dry or in the process of failing completely
A service tip here is
as the transmission has to be removed for the replacement bearing to be fitted , it is a good idea to invest in a clutch kit and throw out bearing simply because 50% of the cost is the labor to remove and replace the transmission and if the bearing is bad , the clutch and pressure plate will soon need replacing

How much for a transmission

price a new one from a dealer spares department. That will give you an idea of prices from wreckers , transmission repair shops and service exchange specialists. Best to get several quote for rebuilds as most boxes only need bearings and synchro kits or if automatic
bearings, seals bands and clutch packs.

DYI Clutch change, now transmission won't fit with the new clutch kit??

While its seams you don't see where you have to make caution,
So Now !Put back fry-wheel back on crankshaft then just check two thinks ......Check 1: see clutch plate there is center gropes on it so Mach on gear shaft center gropes.(I mean just put clutch plate in to transmission shaft & check if it`s center gropes are same match) If yes then pull back clutch plat & then refit under pressure plate on fly-wheel. Now come to Check 2 ! Mow when you fit it you must do centering of clutch plat to fix on gear shaft, So How you can do ?
There is two ways 1 is you have same shaft designed road or wood piece which help to center it!
While 2 ways is take big screw driver & put in the hole & do centering by looking it where center come just tight pressure plat bolts to hold the center .
So when you did like this you ll fix transmission (gear box) easily in a mints ....Just simple like this.
So best of luck & if you have any problem just mail me

1983 toyota sr5 pickup wont move when in gear, let off the clutch and it revs up

Your clutch is gone, the clutch disc is worn so much it won't hold.
Buy a clutch kit-includes a new clutch disc, a new or reconditioned clutch pressure plate, and a new clutch release bearing. These three parts will restore your clutch. They all fit together between the transmission and the engine. The transmission has to be removed to put in the new clutch package. The cost of the clutch kit is about $120-$140.

My car is a 5 speed. I can only get it in one gear which is 5th the other gears it wont move. Is it the clutch or the transmission the trow out bearing has been making a noise for a while

It is possible that the throwout (clutch release) bearing is worn. In addition, one of the arms on the pressure plate could be broken or bent. If your car has a hydraulic clutch, check the fluid level befrpoe deciding on any major repair.
Has the clutch been replaced before, and how many miles are on the vehicle?.

My transmission makes noise until I depress my clutch

sounds like the main shaft bearings within the gearbox itself. i would of said the release bearing but u already changed it. the main shaft doesnt spin with the clutch pedal pressed. check for oil leaks and check the oil level in the gearbox.

92 honda accord transmission clutch replacements

The trow out bearing could be sticking on the shaft it slides on or the clutch pedal its self could be holding pressure on the bearing causing it to stay engaged all the time.Or another cause could be the trans being not aligned straight with the motor..Hope this helps you.Have a great day..

How do i put in a throwout bearing

You have to separate the trans and the motor in order t get to the trow out bearing. It rides on the center shaft in the middle of the transmission once you remove it..
