Changing the starter should have had an immediate effect, rather than 2 days later.. Sounds to me like the rough running is not related. Check the wiring to the spark plugs (or maybe it's just this winter weather)...

Did you disconnect the battery when you changed the starter? are there any codes stored? like james stated if it was starter related it would have happened right after but I also can't think of a starter causing any problems beyond not starting. if no codes I would check plugs, could be bad gas, and make sure all connectors are plugged in from when the car was worked on , something might have came loose or possibly broke.

Bad coil pack

If your truck has spark plug wires, you will want to change those as well, as a bad wire can cause an ignition coil to short itself out internally.

Some days no problem but other days it starts then when I go to start it it won't start Husband comes home later in day it starts right up. But runs ruff ( like vacuum leak) doesn't have one we checked

Vacuum leak would make it idle high. Sounds like the throttle body has to be cleaned. Also try some injector cleaner in the tank. More than 1 bottle at a time... 2 or 3 per full tank. Not a fan of these, but they will help a bit.

2001 volvo s40 cyl 2 misfire how do i repair?

Do a Compression Test, do a VISUAL INSPECTION of the Spark Plugs. If there is a COLOR DIFFERENCE and / or the Spark plugs on Cylinder 1 and 2 are CLEAN. you have a blown head gasket.

I have done so many of these 1.9 liter Turbo's with this same Problem that I can no longer count...

Hard starting ,runs ruff in gear , hesitates, starts with starter fluid easier takes gas in park better , put in gear and sputter sputter barley moves

Hi, have you done a fuel pressure test ,to make sure you are getting the right amount of pressure to injectors . i think you have a bad fuel pump or a stopped up fuel filter, this is why i said we need a fuel pressure reading. if i can help feel free to re post.
Thanks dodge tec

Car wont start, no clicks no sound

make sure you have power getting to your starter when you crank. check the small nut on the starter. should have 12 v or very close to it. this will tell you if your getting power to the starter or if somethign before the starter and something maybe with your anti theft system or not. its hard to say online cause of that anti theft. doest the light flash at all? the anti theft light?

if your getting power to the starter when you crank make sure your getting good power to the starter by turning on the head lights and see if they dim. a good starter will cause the headlites to dim when attempting to start. if nothing dims check connections. or assume bad starter motor. make sure your also getting power to the main starter stud as well.

good luck
