Question about 2008 Toyota Sienna

1 Answer

Yesterday I had a trailer hitch and wieing

Yesterday I had a trailer hitch and wiring installed on my 2007 Sienna. Today the SRS light started flashing and doesn't stop. The owners manual mentions that this problem may be related to front end modifications or wiring modifications. The company that did the work installed some type of adapter to the harness. Has anyone seen this problem before? Thanks for any help.

They didn't help you out much did they!? Try calling of Google "Hoppy" and ask their tech line...Or, determine the brand name of the harness the knuckleheads used and Google that...ALL manufacturers have a tech line for assistance.
Good Luck

Installation of a trailer brake in my dodge durango

One would assume that Doge believes the Durango can stop 6,200 lbs using the brakes on the Durango.

I wouldn't have thought a braked trailer relied on the vehicle's computer system, but rather on the application of a brake light, or by pressure on the hitch, like the larger boat trailers at my marina.

Having said that, there is indeed a special controller for the Durango. check out the link.

I would take vehicle and trailer to a specialist trailer installer, like Hitch City.

yes it sounds like the converter is no good, the converters purpose is, when you have a trailer it uses the brake and signal on the same bulb, so if you were to step on the brake and have the left signal on, then the left brake light would turn into the signal,on your truck it has sperate lights for signal and brake, the converter converts this into one light for the trailer, so just replace the converter and everything should work fine, hope this helps.

Headlights work but all front and rear running lights do not work. Trailer hitch with trailer brake light wire was recently installed.

Take it back. Sounds like they didn't wire the converter correctly. Check fuses also. Also try http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx. They have a great website with lots of info.

I got hitches for toyota sienna 2007 and instal it but i dont now where is connection wiring from my car or where is location power

There is a port under the car that has 4 wires but if you tow an American made unit it will not have the same connections so you will have to buy an adapter to make the lights work correctly. American trailers has one wire for turn and brake with a floating ground and one for running lights and a ground. They did not start putting these plugs in until 1992 so if it is older than that you will have to wire them direct.

What colour wire is the stoplight feed that feeds the stop lights

I'm assuming you have a trailer towing package.
Below is the wiring diagram. It appears the dark blue is your stop lamp wire you may be looking for.
Let me know if anything is different.

2007 Nissian Frontier trailer lights

There should be a 30 AMP mini blade fuse in the fuse box under the hood that you are probably missing. I assume that since you got the relays with the wiring kit, that you got the kit from a Nissan dealer. If that is true, there should be a fuse in the kit also- in a sealed bag that has the "trailer wiring harness owner's manual" in it.

Hope this is helpful!
