Check your connections starting with the battery, check the starter fuse and relay and also check your starter.. If you have a meter it helps tremendously, you can get one under 10$ at your local harbor freight and just in case here is a link to instructions

Changed ignition barrel on suzuki ignis 01 now.it will only start by bumping it once started there is no warning lights on and it drive fine you try start with key it clicks or does nothing

Why did you change the ignition cylinder? Sounds as if the ignition switch is not working properly. This switch is usually attached to the back side of the ignition cylinder and the barrel portion of the cylinder turns the switch. You can remove the switch from the cylinder and insert a screwdriver into the switch and turn it manually. If nothing happens when the switch is turned, it could be defective

Ignition switch on dodge dynasty?

I had a similar problem years ago. As long as your dash lights come on, it's likely you can use an external pushbutton switch to run the starter. There are likely just 4 wires on the ignition switch. Power from the battery, and switched to:
accessories
main car stuff (dash lights, ignition, signals, etc)
starter.
splice in wires from battery and starter to new switch, and you're good to go. This worked for years on my old car.

2004 grand vitara will not start and solenoid will not click, Battery is fine.

Sounds like the ignition interlock at the transmission switch is out of adjustment or faulty. Bypass the key switch, at the starter, if it now cranks, it's in the interlock switch or the ignition switch.

In older cars, the natural wear and tear on a vehicle can lead to ignition switch failure. If the switch is failing, you will probably not hear any clicks from the main relay, which fires the ignition. Check the behavior of the dashboard lights if your vehicle stalls. Alternatively, when the key is first turned to position two, the oil light, brake light, charge light and other warning lights will not function. You can try a test to check the integrity of the ignition switch by turning the ignition key to the 'start' position. As soon as it tries to start let go of the key. Allow it to snap back to the 'run' position and note warning lights. If they go out as the switch snaps back then the switch is faulty. if faulty it will not let power through to the starter to start car. check all fuses first. but sounds like switch.

My explorer, Eddie Bauer edition had an electrical problem, when you switched to the high beam lights, you could a hear a crackling and the light would go off, but if you switched back to the low beams,...

Or the headlamp switch or the low high dimmer switch ! Does it DRL - day time running lamps ? Ignition switch has nothing to do with the headlamps or power locks . Also if the ignition switch was the problem the vehicle wouldn't start . Here is a web site for wiring diagrams http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter your vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size ! Under system click on lighting then under subsystem click on headlamps ! Then click the search button , three links will pop up . Click them one at a time ! With a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter test for B+ voltage at the headlamp switch , turn on the headlamps on low an check for B+ voltage coming out . Check on high beam as well . Here are a couple of videos , check em out .
