My car is a VW Polo 2005 the problem is, drivers lock doesnt open with remote control, just with key and pulling the interior handle, any ideas?

The tiny motor that would automatically unlock the door with the remote is burnt out. It needs to be replaced. You can take it to a gas station garage that can usually fix it for a little cheaper than a VW Dealership BUT, sometimes you just have to take it to a VW Dealership because some areas of the car need "keys" to unlock certain panels of the car. VW is tricky like that. Good Luck!

WE HAVE A 2000 VW BEETLE. THE HATCH BACK DOOR DOES NOT OPEN ALL THE WAY WHEN THE BUTTON IS PUSHED FROM EITHER THE KEY OR THE DOOR. IT APPEARS THE HYDROLICS ARE NOT WORKING?

Mine does this too. In fact, if I don't get back there and open it soon enough after pulling the latch it catches and will not open until I do it again. And sometimes its hard to close-i have to give it a good slam. I've had this car for about 9 years so I guess its to be expected.

Engine ceased VW 2004 passat 4cyl. 59k, multiply oil changes from local garage, VW too expensive engine ceased. called VW they want to change me to see the car. What shoud lI do?

Let them see the car.

Did you check to see if the vehicle actually had oil in it? Sometimes small shops forget to put oil in or forget to put the oil plug back on.

It may be less expensive to go to your local corner garage at first, but now look at what it is going to cost you.

You may be able to find this engine in the scrap or junkyard. Look for a car that has rear end damage. This indicates that the engine is still good and none of the seals have been shifted because of the damage. Front end damage may cause seals to shift and have an oil leak

Location of security arlam of vw passat

The alarm is located behind the back seat on the Drivers side. Up and towards the outside of the car.
Pull the back seat down. Look up where I stated.
You may need to remove or pull back the trim.
You should be able to see it mounted there.

Hope this helps.

Fuel pump relay working intermitently.

is the relay ok? i think what you are hearing could be 2 relays at the same time. i think the fuel relay works with another aluminium looking one. there's usually a few of them that are identical so you can swop to check.
