Question about 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix

1 Answer

Car stalling Mine started at that same point. Run fine when it was cold and then stall when it got to temp. Now it stalls even when it is cold. When a scanner was hooked up to it, the code said something about the mass meter bank one low voltage. A friend of mine was having the same problem with her 2000 grand prix and it ended up being some regulator. Any advice on this?

Why does my car get to its normal temp and cut off?

Does it immediately restart or is there an extended crank to start it back up? Is the check engine light on? If so, have the codes scanned to see if any problem areas have been found by the computer. A cold engine requires more fuel and as the engine warms up, fuel is trimmed back/reduced by the computer. You may have a vacuum leak causing the stall/dirty throttle plate/ or it could even be an electrical issue to/from a sensor

2004 hyundai xg350 stalls when warm restarts when cold

sounds to me like it could be the engine coolant temp sensor. If the ECT goes bad it will run very rich which would allow it to run fine when cold but choke out and stall when warm.i know it sounds silly because people say what does coolant temperature have to do with the fuel ratio? But with fuel injected vehicles these day they do not use choke flaps or enrichment valves so the ECT sends the temperature info to the cars computer and it then uses that info along with info from other sensors to adjust the fuel to air ratio.you could try to simply unplug the ECT and see if it cures the stalling issue. If it does not stall when unplugged then replace the ECT
