The three coil packs are on the top of the engine, (I assume this is the 3.1 V6?) here is a picture of the coil pack, but all you need to do is follow the spark plug wires back to the coil packs (there are 3 on the V6).
If you have a 4.2 L engine, Remove the 10mm bolts on the coils, on top of the engine, remove the electrical connector then the coil, your truck has individual coils, spark plugs are in the hole, 5/8 spark plug socket, don't buy cheap spark pluggs for this truck, it will miss fire, I prefer autolites

If there are symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check
all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending

suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable).
Otherwise, check the coils (coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic
converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter
needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty
