Could be that you've lost your ECM ground or that the ECM itself is shorting out or failed altogether

Doors lock keeps locks and unlocks while we drive. What do I need to do?.

My T&C was doing the same thing, then came other electrical problems. Turned out the battery had a dead cell and the lack of available power was causing the electronics to go haywire. Get the battery and alternator checked out and make sure you don't have a loose connection or corrosion on the battery terminal.

99 dodge intrepid will not turn over

Hello,

When a car doesn't turn over at all, it is usually a dead battery, dead starter, or a ceased engine. The first thing I would do is bring the battery and starter to a place like Autozone or Advance Auto to have them tested for free. Check the oil to make sure you have some in there. Driving with no oil will cease your engine and leave you with a $500 tax deductible donation of your car.

I hope this helps.

I have a 99 Intrepid and it wont start. There is no power to the dash(nothing). Battery is 1 year, Starter new. With boost cables, dash lights up, but car only clicks.

battery is dead again let it charge longer then try it.
clean your cables and then have the alt and battery checked if they are both good then something is staying on like mine my brake lights stayed on once and killed the battery
good luck

Total electrical failure

I would suggest have your battery checked out.Like at Sears or a large auto parts store. They check them out for free. I think that its eather the battery or a bad (dirty) battery wire connection.
I hope this helps you.

99 intrepid hard to start and or cutts out, what is my solution

n most 90's and up Dodge/Chrysler vehicles, you can try to pull codes from the car's computer as long as you still have a charged battery. Put your key in the ignition, and turn it forward, but not far enough to engage the starter. Turn the key back to the Off position, then forward, back and forward again. In early 90s vehicles, the Check Engine light is going to flash a number of times. Often, code 55 means it is completed.
In mid and late 90s vehicles, you will often get a 4 digit code that may help you diagnose problems starting, mostly checking the eletrical, ignition and sensor systems.
