Where is the power fuse for the abs hydralic unit located . there is no fuse box under the hood on this model.

The master cylinder abs hdy unit has no power to assist in stopping. the brake pedal is hard to push and it's like it lost power to booster.

master cylinder has not been run dry. I hear no vaccum leaks, when I press pedal they will stop but only if you stand on them since the pedal is hard 1/2 at top the pedal never reaches anywhere near the floor. this one had a recall on the abs motor and was replaced and done ok for 2 months but the dealer didn't won't the be bothered so they said it wasn't under the recall now. My husband is a mechanic but hasn't dealt with any abs models yet and isn't sure where to start. Other then trying to open the bleeders and see if fluid flows. the only thing the dealer did was connect up the scanner then didn't touch it which to me didn't diagnos it correctly. they said master cylinder with abs hydralic booster unit and they wanted 3,000 to fix it. so I drove it home at night with very little traffic on the road . so I was leaning more to a wire loose or something like that. maybe a proportional valve if it has one.

NOT sure but spoke to 2 mechanic buddies last night... the wire thing? or a stuck proportional valve iis our best guess Wish we all could just turn off abs on vehicles and turn ti on when we think we need it.to bad you just can't disconnect the whole ABS unit???

well I went to a friend who is also a mechanic and he said my van doesn't have a proportioning valve and it also doesn't use vaccum , he said the motor is what has to work in order to give the booster the assistants to operate the booster. also he said on my year van it doesn't have a maxie fuse or any fuse that would be for that brake unit or abs motor. but this van does use fusable links but he didn't have the time to trace it out for me being he was to busy to take on the task. but before I went there I used my husbands snapon scanner and tested my parts of the abs which I heard them do the clicks and such they all seemed to work. except it don't have a test to turn on the abs pump motor which was replaced in dec of 2013. I still say its bad. the scanner had code # 16 low accumulator then I erased the codes and pressed the pedal again and only got code 07 boost pressure then erased codes again and I quit. the movie where you watch what is doing the accumulator (V) 2.23 boost pressure (V) 0.25 system relay (v) 14.2 so if that tells you anything esle thats helps let me know.

What is required to replace a fuel pump relay in a 2003 Ford Explorer?

In the under hood fuse box, beside the master cylinder. The fuel pump relay location number is 50B, in the same box also check fuse # 23 which I believe is a 20 Amp Mini fuse for fuel pump power.

Disable ABS without losing brake lights?

Many of the master cylinders have connection for a brake light pressure switch. Some also active the brake lights by placing a switch directly under the brake pedal. You may need to build your own bracket.

Brake pedal loosing pressure

Honda had two brake reservoirs one on the normal brake master cylinder the other on the ABS module. If abs fuse has no power the module has no power. that power comes from the main fuses in underhood fuse box. the abs system is supplement system to normal braking system loss of brake pedal is a air problem or drum brake adjustment problem or a loose wheel bearing pushing the caliper piston back into caliper requiring more fluid to get brake to work causing a low pedal.

2004 ford explorer ABS light on, cruise control quit working. Problem?

THERE IS A BRAKE PRESSURE SWITCH MOUNTED ON THE MASTER CYLINDER. IF THE ABS LIGHT IS ON AND THE CRUISE CONTROL IS INOP. THE SWITCH OR WIRING TO THE SWITCH IS BAD. THERE SHOULD BE VOLTAGE IN AND OUT OF THE SWITCH IF ONLY POWER IN AND NO POWER OUT THE SWITCH IS BAD. ALSO CHECK FUSE #45 IN THE UNDER HOOD FUSE BOX TO SEE IF ITS GOOD. HOPE THIS HELPS.

CHECK BRAKE FLUID FIRST IF ALL IS GOOD. YOUR PROBLEM COULD BE IN THE HYDRALIC CONTROL UNIT OR MASTERCYLINDER AND THE CAB OR CONTROLLER ANTI LOCK BRAKE.THE CAB IS THE BRAIN FOR THE ABS UNIT IT CONTROLS SOLENOIDS TO FRONT AND REAR BRAKES.HAVE ABS BRAKE SYSTEM CODE SCAN FOR A FAULT CODE.

Abs, brake and trac light stays on had brakes replace including master cylinder all lights still on...

hi that could be a faulty abs sensor, or sticking, there are 4 of them located at the back of each rotor. Unplug and test current with a test light. Make sure to test your fuses also abs fuses, would ether be in the car or under the hood in a black box. check your owners manual for proper were abouts of the fuses also should be located on the fuse box cover.

My air, odometer, speedometer all went out at the same time. is that a fuse?

I just had this trouble. Fuse F-10 will be blown. It is caused by a short in the ABS deactivation switch which is on the front and bottom of the master brake cylinder under the hood. The master brake cylinder is on the drivers side under the hood and is the unit where you add brake fluid. It has a connector with 2 wires on it and when it leaks brake fluid, the 2 wires short out and blow the F10 fuse causing your problem. So check that switch on the bottom front of the master brake cylinder and replace it if you have been losing brake fluid. It fixed my problem.
