Then you likely have a defective amplifier.

SOURCE: Trying to find out if the amp for my 2003 Toyota

Metra Part# 70-8113

This is the only part you will require to retain factory amplifier when you switch to an aftermarket radio.

Best Buy does not use Metra Products.

They use cheap American International.

SOURCE: My 2009 corolla head unit will not get power anymore

Check to see if you are getting power to the head unit. If not then there may be an internal fuse in the head unit.

Can you replace a stock amp with a after market amp without rewiring speaker 2001 sport track

It depends on whether you have the standard audio system or a premium sound system. The standard system has no factory amplifier, the premium system has a factory amp and some other gimmicks that are hard to interface with. A proper OEM amplifier upgrade will require changing the factory speakers with stronger replacements, as well as adapting the factory head unit output to a signal your new amplifier will like. More often than not, it is more economical and better sounding to just change the factory speakers and run the replacements off your factory system. To drastically improve the sound system, it is more effective to just change everything.

These cars have a factory amp system that will not operate correctly with an aftermarket stereo. You have two choices. You can either run new wires to the speakers your self which would bypass the factory amp. Or you can order the premium sound system Interface here http://www.myinstallkit.com/FORD/1990%20(90)%20FORD%20THUNDERBIRD%20Radio%20-%20Stereo%20Installation%20Kit.htm scroll about half way down the page.

I want to know the location of the factory amplifier

I'm assuming you are talking about a Buick Century, since it is under that heading, and I am assuming that you have a premium sound system, since that is the system that comes with an amp, and I am assuming that your car is a '99 or newer, since 1999 is the first year for a premium sound system with an amp. If all this is the case, GM says that the amp is below the glove box.
