I believe thats a plastic housing assembly. You need to replace the unit.

SOURCE: 2005 Dodge Magnum w/out hemi stalling

I have a 2005 Magnum and was also having this problem. Stalled out a few times and continued to idle rough and feel like it was going to die when I would slow down. At times it would feel like I would get a hesitation and then a surge. Engine light would go on for a day or so, then go out for a few days. First time I took it in, the dealership told me that it was a broken seal (I don't know where), but they replaced it and it continued to happen. The second time I took it to a mom & pop shop, and they told me that it was the oxygen sensor/altimeter, replaced it (only a $35 part), and I haven't had a problem since. That was 6 months ago. Hope this helps...

My story Dealing with Dodge

I had a 1994 Dodge Ram. The Red Dodge Ram I had it malfunctioned and my brake became the throttle. I had to put the truck in reverse then park. to stop, after it was out of control at 80 mph a hill slowed us down. Are you sure its not electrical and the curse control is not giving you trouble? Mine had multifunction switch was not working and the headlight switch burned up. I also found out that Audi had problem with the brake becoming the throttle in the 1980s Daimler Chrysler and Audi were German made. I don't think there is an easy answer. I hope you stay safe. Another man is having strange trouble also. I'm sure there are many more people with trouble with the vehicles. I wish Dodge would step up to the truth. and recall their nightmares. I saw many of their 1996 Dodge trucks at their dealers shop with all the electrical pulled out.

Is the coolant housing and thermostat the same on a 2005 magnum 2. engine if nt where is the thermostat

Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine. The bubbled piece if aluminum (or plastic) the hose connects to is the thermostat housing.

Same thing happened to my 2005 dodge magnum. Took it to the shop, we thought it was a computer issue. Flashed the computer and it didn't help. It ended up being the thermostat and some other parts. The shop had to remove the whole front grille to replace a part that went straight through the top of the engine. The part is plastic and had cracked and was slowly spewing coolant all over the engine. The car was basically overheating but so little that it was not evident at first. Once they replaced all of that the lights stopped coming on. Very frustrating to say the least.

My 2007 Dodge Magnum is leaking coolant I dont know where the leak is the car is not running hot but when i park i see a puddle of coolant in the garage. What could this be.

Sounds like the water pump is leaking, the water pump is located on the front of the engine it is a common source of a leak like this.

After my 2005 dodge magnum sits (lets say overnight) it runs rough and produce white smoke. After several minutes the smoking and rough idling stops. What causes this and what price range to get it fixed

White smoke is a sign of water/condensation (due to the coolant additive)......worst case scenario, you have a head gasket leak (minor at this stage), or you simply need a tune up......as white smoke on cold start up could be normal...has it just started happening, or have you only just started noticing it ???

When was the last time it has been serviced (plugs, oil etc)

Sounds like a stuck thermostat. Get a new thermostat element and replace.

Check gage light is on (temperature)

it is low on coolant...there could be a number of reasons,,,a stuck thermostat forcing the water out...,leaking water pump...leaking radiator or hose.....bad headgasket. some of this you could fix at home...you first need to locate the leak....pressure test the system....
