I found the inertia switch. Is it suppose to rattle when you shake it?

Check the fuel pump inertia switch behind the passenger side kick panel. Also make sure connections are tight and not corroded. Then you might consider a new ignition switch from autozone for $25.

Well I believe the button should be pushed down as you said. The rattling sounds a little fishy but I cannot say for sure it is to blame. I know you said you don't have a multimeter but really without knowing if you are getting 12v to the plug I can't really determine the cause. My dad used to tell me you need fuel and spark to run an engine so if the fuel is not turning on either the wiring is bad or the ignition switch.

Also the ignition switch relay could be bad. Generally with the fuses or under the hood in a small black plastic box near the fender .

Wheres the fuel shut off switch located?

There should be a fuse in front of the relay. The fuse could be under the hood near the battery or near the firewall.
Some fuses are under the dash next to driver.
Hope this helps.

May not be your fuse the fuel pump gets power through the oil sending unit so if the engine quits because of a wreck the fuel pump will not keep running. the oil sending unit has two sides one for oil pressure the other side powers the fuel pump one side can go out leaving the other side good. The fuse will be under the hood you also have a fuel pump relay under the hood it may be bad

I have a 92 240 that blew fuse to fuel pump.Replaced fuse, drove 2 days and since then will not start.Fuel pump tested good, can not locate fuel relay.

new fuel filter when replaced the pump? might have a bare wire somewhere causing the fuse to blow usually the relay is under hood with main fusses and secondary being under dash or in glove box.
