02 buick rendezvous no heat

My 2002 Buick Rendezvous blows air but just no heat. It doesn't matter how high or low the heat is set. but if the heat is set lower like around 60 degrees it blows harder. but still no heat. I'd like to fix it myself if possible.

Sounds like heater core went out or is stopped up. Is the floorboard wet on either side of the car? Either flush the system with a cheap kit for about $25 or look at getting a new heater core. Usually these are behind the dash but usually easy to get to.

I would guess if the heater is not blowing hot air, either the thermostat is not working and the vehicle would get hot, or the heater core is stopped up or leaking. They arrange the cores nowdays where it won't leak in the car. You can check to see if the heater core is clogged by checking the heater hoses. Warm the engine up and touch the heater hoses going in to the firewall, they should be hot so be careful. Both hoses should be hot, if one hose is warm and the other hose is not, the core is clogged. If both hoses are hot, the problem may be electrical inside the dash. If the core is clogged, you can remove the heater hoses and use a garden hose to flush out the clog.

SOURCE: A/c problems in 2002 buick rendezvous

it does sound like your AC line has a hole in it. I would replace the hose if you can see the leak. if you cannot see it then run a dye through the system and then put on the pair of UV leak detector glasses that you can buy at the parts store for like $15

SOURCE: 2002 Buick Rendezvous Driver's Side Climate Control does not blow out heat

Could be a sensor or one of the blend doors under the dash.
You may need a shop manual to get the troubleshooting procedure.

Take to a shop that has the proper gauges and ability to vacuum the system properly. Do not simply try and add Freon as it only causes an air gap and false readings. In addition, some cars require a resetting of values on the cars computer brain in order to function properly.

02 Buick Rendezvous won't start

Does it crank but won't start or is it a crank no start? Does the starter solenoid click or no click is heard? You need to state in detail what sort of testing has been done and the results along with detailed symptoms in order to help you better.

2002 Buick Rendezvous no heat and over heated after warming it up for over 30 minutes.

Have a pressure test done on your cooling system, you sound like you could have a leak in your system or your system just needs to have the air bled from it. Check your coolant level also, with air in the system and not enough coolant it will blow cold and cause overheating.

I have a 2002 Buick Rendevzeous. Sometimes the driver side low beam works, sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't, the turn signal won't blink. It just stays dimmly lit. Right now, the low beam...

You have a bad electrical connection. Check the wiring harness and both sides of it's connectors for corrosion and or breakage. The connector terminals will become worn and corroded and the wiring sheaths a prone to weathering and become brittle. Replace or clean as needed.

Sounds like you may have a stuck or broken blend door, could be your controls as well. Have you tried different settings (i.e. floor, front, floor+front)?

Where is the A/C high pressure switch located for a 2002 Buick Rendezvous? I followed the low and high pressure lines from the compressor to the firewall and no switch. Thanks, DM

The AC refrigerant pressure sensor is located under the air cleaner housing. It can be serviced by putting the vehicle on a lift and removing the air baffle. Then it can be reached from underneath.
