Question about 2001 Ford F250 Super Duty Super Cab

2 Answers

How do I remove the rear brake rotors on a 2001 Ford F-250 Super Duty once the calipers and brackets are removed. I'm not sure if they just pop off of the hub and maybe the rear parking brake shoes are holding them or not.

You brake shoes are probably hanging up.If you are replacing the rear rotors just take a small sledge and beat on the back of the rotor where the dust shield is exposed.

Procedure to replace rear rotors

In short, Remove wheels and tires. Remove brake caliper and brake caliper mount. Remove axle. Take nuts off inside axle and remove entire hub. From back side remove bolts holding the rotors to the hubs.... remove rotor and reassemble in reverse. You will need new oil seals.... This is a heavy duty truck and has some big parts and some really large and tight bolts. Not a job for the meek!
