SOURCE: Question

I don't know if you are trying to prove a point here or not?

If you are losing hydraulic fluid out of your clutch you need to fix the leak.

If you have a Hyandai 6 wheeler truck I would like to see it.

SOURCE: new clutch was put in a 1985 ford escort lx 6

I would definately suspect that, and also the master cylinder associated with it.

Is there an adjustment on my 97 golf clutch i doesnt start to ingage until the pedal is over half way back up i was wondering if there was an adjustment

You have a hydraulic line for the clutch, so it can be bled to remove air-beyond that, the clutch is just wearing, and it will get lower and lower until you will need to replace the disk.

Why a clutch would need to be replaced with low

abnormal wear and tear due to being ridden by driver and burning it to the point of slipping is usually the answer, premature clutch wear is nearly always driver error, unless the car is only a few months old and it has let go

Clutch kit

If a newly installed hydraulic kit leaks after 6 months you need to renew the complete master cylinder or slave cylinder unit.
The leaks are occuring because of wear/corrosion in the metal cylinder.

A brand new unit will operate for many years without further trouble.

Golf 1 clutch keeps slipping

Yes, replace it. It wears out just like brake rotors do. If it is too thin the clutch will slip.

Headlight keep burning out

you might be using a higher wattage of hallogen bulb. higher wattage bulb must have a relay so it'l stop from burning. and you save money.

Cluch is slipping after changing it

everytime you change a clutch, it is good practice to change the pressure plate also. in this case, thats what I would do.

Problems with gear box

Hi

If the clutch feels ok and isn't biting right at the bottom or right at the top then it sounds like its time for a recon or 2nd hand gearbox to be fitted.

I recently fitted a 2nd gearbox to a seat ibiza GTi which actually has the 2.0 Golf engine fitted to it and it wasn't too bad at all, but it is adviseable to fit a clutch kit whilst the box is off.

Very best regards

Geordie
