SOURCE: help my audi is jerking

the best i can find from the information i have is it's near the tank (not all that great information) be that as it may i would suggest it is likely a problem with the coil pack or you have water in your fuel. you haven't mentioned how it idles. to test the pack... just unplug one spark plug wire at a time ... if the engine idle doesn't change you have likely located the problem... if it is indeed water in your fuel... add a couple bottles of gas line antifreeze to your tank.... it contains alcohol and will **** up the water.

SOURCE: OIL SENSOR LIGHT ON 2001 Audi 2.8liter

It could simply be maybe the person changing your oil never reset the light? or you have a oil pressure sensor leaking or not working.
most of the time its someone never reset the oil change light. even before it goes on it goes by mileage, so maybe it didnt go off yet cause you cnahged it a tad early.so noone even tried to reset it.

I guess you could have an oil pressure problem, but thats going the extreme route.. but if nothing else shows that could be a problem.

It sounds like there may be an issue with your ignition system.

Check the ignition wires, distributor cap, spark plugs.

My car driving it and all of a sudden it started jerking and then all the lights on the dash started blinking, then it went away, and then a little bit later it happened again

There are shops that can check the electrical system. It might be the alternator. You need to find a mechanic to do some measurements.

Just got a 99 subur 2 wks ago The last few day the check gage light blinked on & off.Today it started smoking from under the hood & was hard to turn. What cld this mean? Do I need oil and pwr steering

Sorry Kim:
It sounds like you need a mechanic.
Before I drove it any more I would check with the dealership where I bought it. Lots of places have a 30 day warranty.
REPEAT - DO NOT DRIVE IT!
You don't want any more engine damage to happen.

I have a 2004 Chrysler Sebring. About a year ago after starting, it started jerking, the engine was loud and black smoke a lot of black smoke coming out of exhause, brought to mechanic opened hood an

Did any of these mechanics put a scanner on this car? There would have been codes(02 sensors, catalytic converter, map, mass air flow, and coolant sensor could have been some of them). Black smoke is too much gas/fuel. Another thing that wouldn't throw a code would be the injector/s stuck open (would result in hard starts). Since you replaced two Map sensors, I wouLd also check for power and ground at this sensor. Check the wires good, as it could be inttermitant.

You really need to run the Diagnostic programme to get the fault code in order to pinpoint the faulty part. See here for possible fault -

Hello Zach. my name is Andy and to start with the best way is to connect the obd2 scan tool into it that way we can gomore straight to where the problem is and avoiding dealer fees or mechanic fees which they are really expensive and avoiding replace parts unneccessary
