Question about 2002 Volkswagen Golf
My wifes 2002 Golf tdi has just returned from its annual service but with the orange warning light having now come on within the mph dial display which looking up the manual appears to be for the traction control. Also the offside indicators flash very very quickly on the indicator dispaly but do not work when you actually view the indicators themselves. The nearside works just fine. Have the garage done something or is this just coincidence? Many thanks, K.

this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating
that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of
lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected
a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, SRS
and BCM faults) as long as the light is on. You must now have the
dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan"
the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)
