Where is fuse for startermoter

There may be a fuse for the ignition system, but not specificly the Starter itself. Do you hear a "click" when you turn the key? If not
are you sure you have a good battery? Do other electric devices work? If you hear a click when turning to start and a good battery, You have starter solenoid problems. Is this a diesel? Could be the Starter motor Brushes. While somewhat hazardous, can you jump the car and get it started? Autoparts stores will help check battery and other electrical problems if you want to do it yourself. Otherwise you need dealer or reputable repair shop. If diesel engine (and fuel) I'd go to the dealer.

Engine wont turn over and no lights with key in accesory position

What about with the key in the on position -do the warning lights and gauges turn on? That would mean the ignition switch has power and can turn on.
Any theft alarm activated, immobilizing the car?
Won't turn over- you mean won't start or the starter won't spin the engine over? If it won't start, ignition spark or fuel problem. If the engine won't crank, problem is in the start circuit- from battery to starter, and from battery to ignition switch to starter. Park/neutral safety switch is in circuit between key switch and starter.

Diesel renault b56 wont start if cold

No. Diesel engines have very high compression and require powerful starters to turn over. Cold engines turn over even harder. Batteries for Diesel engines must be robust. Cold weather robs batteries of power. If the battery is more than 2-3 years old, it is probably the battery, but definitely NOT the glow plugs.

Replaced engine in bobcat. It a diesel, and I know nothing about Diesel engines. There is only two wires coming from the injector pump. That's it. I bleed all the air out of the lines and it still won't...

Not sure about that particular engine - but one of the thing that needs to work, assuming the timing and compression etc are good, on a diesel engine in order for it to work is the fuel solenoid. It has to have 12v of power to it in order to let fuel pass to the engine. When power is turned off the valve shuts and stops all fuel. It is located on the injector pump and will have one hot wire when the ignition is on. You can hear and feel it click open with the ignition turned on/off.

You also need power going to you glow plugs prior to turning it over - check you are getting power to the plugs with the ignition on(power should come one for 5-15 seconds or so and then turn off), a simple test light works to test power - I have also installed an engine that had all four glow plugs that were bad, if it is a used engine I would just change these so you know. You may have power to the glow plugs, but that doesn't mean the plugs themselves are good.

If you have this working properly try using a low volume inline fuel pump before the injector pump just to get it primed and running.

Landcruiser early 80 turbo diesel wont start

Presuming it is swinging (starter turning engine) and the glow plugs are working well and diesel is clean, the other alternatives are a drop in fuel pressure through the injectors which is necessary to ignite the diesel, or engine compression. If the compression is too low the diesel will not ignite. Test the injectors and compression across al cylinders. Being a turbo the compression si already lowered and the slightest drop will have an effect. Happy hunting.

Just purchased a diesel truck please dont laugh just dont know why are their two batterys under hood what is the reason for this

Diesel engines utilize a compression ratio about 2 and1/2 times higher that a gasoline engine. This means it takes much more power from the starter to crank it over. Two batteries are necessary to power the oversized starter required to turn a diesel engine over. Also, many diesel engines use glow plugs to warm up the combustion chamber to aid cold starting. The extra battery provides power reserve for this function also.

The Cars engine wont turn over but the lights and all other accessories work. Why would this happen?

Not one engine sound coming from turning the key means the back end of the ignition is failing. I think it is called the ignition switch. It is the cheaper part versus the full ignition and set of keys.

Replaced starter on f350 7.3l wont crank nopower

There should be a starter relay up by the battery on the inner fender, right side of the vehicle. There is also a starter solenoid on the starter, correct? I'm going to ask if you have it in park, neutral or the clutch pushed in, if so still no crank? On the starter relay, on the fender, there are 2 large teminals and 1 small. With vehicle in park or neutral and brake set pull the small wire off and using a jumper lead put 12V to the small terminal, the engine should crank. If so now check and see if you have power to that small wire when you turn the key to start. If not it could be the neutral safety switch, clutch switch (manual trans) or the ignition switch. There is also a fusable link that comes off the starter relay that could have blown. Do you have power to the ignition, do the lights come on, on the dash, when you turn the key on? If so the fuseable link is probably OK. If it don't crank by jumping the starter relay the problem is between the relay and starter. That relay sends a signal to the starter solenoid.

Our R reg Sharan will no longer start.

first go to the basics charge the battery fully make sure leads are clean and tight with ignition off put car in gear handbrake off and rock car in gear to turn engine over (make sure you are not on a hill) so as to move starter.
check back of starter wire connection both large power wire and small spade terminal
check wiring on back of alternator plug and main wiring for alternator if all this is ok and it wont start if you have ignition lights but still doing the same then if it is manaual tow the car and try and start it if it is auto you can only replace bit by bit but try battery first from donor car as this is the easiest good luck
