The chatter is due to low voltage. Check all the connections. The battery may have corrosion that lowers the voltage.

How do I stop front disk brake pads from chattering?


Brake pads are eqipped with what they call "Feelers" these are metal tabs that will squeal or "chatter" when there may be a need for new Brake pads or rotor replacement or re-turning of rotors to their original shape and measurements.

Fuel pump does not turn off after turning key on and the relay 'chatters'.


Check your ignition switch for operating correctly, two screws hold it in, mounted under the steering column about an inch away from the turn signal switch. And assure that there are no shorts to wires going to fuel pumps.

MY SIGNAL LIGHTS WON'T WORK,I HEAR A CHATTER WHEN I SIGNAL AND THE SIGNAL INSIDE BLINKS AND THEN GOES OUT.WHATS WRONG? MY HAZARD LIGHTS AS WELL.HONDA ACCORD 2006.


hi, it sounds like the flasher box or relay may be u/s, its sounds like its sticking when it gets hot, that's why it will work for a time then stop, try locating the flasher box or relay and replacing it, that might cure the problem...hope that helps

Flasher relay chatters, replaced it with a new one , still does it. I can touch the brake pedal and it goes away also turning on the flasher or turn signal makes it go away.


there is an earth fault somewhere between the flasher and brake lights get an auto electrician to check and trace earth fault

The turn signal relay is chattering. I replaced the relay but the new one is chattering too.


bad earth or short can cause this
also check all globes operating not shorted internally can check with ohms meter if globes dont light up while relay is chattering or remove one globe at time can help to locate area of concern

1995 jeep wrangler starting problems


would replace starter and inspect battery, cables/terminals also if problem still chattering u may have damaged the fly wheel the chattering is the starter not fully engaging the fly wheel. most likely starter but bad battery cables would also cause same symptoms hope this helps u

Differential chattering or grinding niose


hello i will help u.there is an additive you can add to the differential to stop this problem.you can find it by going to a good auto parts store.But otherwise your noise is common.and not a major problem.
