Has the truck been fitted with a trailer electrical connection? If so, investigate the connections where the trailer cable was spliced into the light connections.

2001 jeep wrangler. Brake lights won't work but

Check the brake control switch situated just above the break pedal arm under the dashboard. Could be a wire loose or unplugged or the switch itself could be faulty

Brake light won't work

Check your Fuse holder for the brake light fuse. Its likely it[the fuse] blew.

Its usually a 15AMP fuse, as for the literal location of the fuse box check any of the following places: Under your glove compartment(by the footwell) or the drivers side footwell... .or under the hood.

This is a good fuse:

This is a bad fuse:

Brake light dodge neon 2002

Check the brake fuse in your dash's fusebox. Since the turns work, you know the bulbs are good, unless your Neon has separate brake lights. If the fuse is good, bulbs are good, then check for power at the brake light switch on the upper portion of the brake pedal. Should have 12 volts there all the time. Use a testlight or voltmeter to check. Good luck.

Why won't my MB ml350 brake lights work even after i install new bulbs?

Did you check the fuse? Either the fuse may be out, or the brake light swith on the brake pedal may be out or need adjusting. You should have 12 volts at the brake switch.

Brake lights won't come on after changing brake booster on 97 gmc 1500. Also won't shift into gear.

check for a bad brake light fuse! if not the fuse, the brake light switch operates brake lights and if bad you will not be able to shift it out of park, as well as the brake lights not coming on.! because you have to put foot on brake to do so. if bad switch, it wont let it out of park. it could be just out of adjustment also!! good-day !

I replaced a cracked rear tail light with an after market new light. Now the brake light won't work but reverse lights and directional signal do. The bulbs are fine as I've moved them around and...

  • If there are no brake lights period the check the stop switch (brake light switch)
  • This is attached to the upper part of the brake pedal itself. Should be a little wire off of it. When that goes bad the brake lights will not work at all.
  • Please note that the fuse for "brakes" is ABS only and has no bearing on the brake lights themselves working.
