Just want to make sure that the a/c low pressure line is located high is the a/c low pressure located in the back of engine compartment and high for easy access

Typically the the low pressure/suction line is a bigger pipe/tube, as far as location it depends on the car. The bigger AC line is almost 99 percent of the low pressure. Usually on the cap it will say most of the times to there is a different hydraulic fitting for the low and high side. Most cars I have seen have a little tag that will say suction or low pressure line, and or discharge high pressure.

If you are re charging the gas, always use the low pressure side of the system.

Location of ac low pressure port location 2004 chevorlet avalanch

Look back on the firewall for the two a/c lines. One is large and on is much smaller. The larger line is the low pressure line. Follow that line back to the compressor. The low pressure port will be on that line.

I want to recharge the a/c of my 2004 Rainier, but do not know where the low pressure port is and the caps are not marked with L or H. Help! Thank you.

The good news is a that vehicle has R134A which means the quick release from your refill can will only fit the low pressure side which is normally a little higher than the High. Unlike the old R22 systems the Low and High pressure connections are slightly different in size.

Which line high pressure A/C line and which is the low pressure on a car?

The low pressure line should be the larger of the two lines. If you have 134A and are trying to refill it the connector will only fit the Low Pressure side as they are different sizes. Today's refill kits come with the connector and it only fits one side.

1996 Sebring convertible locating low pressure port on the a/c? Where is it?

The smaller of the two lines is the high pressure line. The larger line is the low pressure line. The cap on the fitting should be blue in color on the low pressure side. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Where is the low pressure line to add r134a to a 1997 dodge ram

The low pressure line is the larger of the two lines and i believe the low pressure line has a blue cap on the valve, and the high pressure valve has the black cap on it.
Follow the two lines from the compressor, the line that goes to the condenser (to the front of the truck) is the high pressure line. The other line that comes from the firewall is the low side and will have the refill port with a blue cap on it.
Good luck and hope this help. There should also be a sticker somewhere in the engine bay to the amount of R134 should be in the system.

Where do I recharge ac at

there are 2 ports one for low pressure and one for high pressure. the low pressure is bigger in diameter and is usually close to the dryer and or fender and firewall. the high pressure is near the condensor on the fron of the vehicle. if there are caps for the ports low will be blue and high will be red. low side pressure should be 35-50 psi and high pressure should be 135-150 psi

Looking for low pressure port for servicing Freon in A/C system for 1998 Chevrolet Suburban. There are 2 ports on top of compressor. Which is the low side and which is the high side?

The ports on my 2005 silverado are on the same line, which is very confusing but, in between the two ports is the metering device (orifice) which changes the high pressure gas into a low pressure gas.The two ports are of a different size, with the low pressure being the smaller of the two. You can put your hand on the line, on each side of the metering device connection and the high side will be hot and the low side will be cold

A/C kicking in and out.

There are 2 lines coming off the AC compressor, one is larger than the other (that is the low press line), the low pressure line is the common place that the switch is located, the other is the accumulator can, the low pressure goes to the accumulator, in any event it is always in the low pressure side, large cold line.
